    ABC (ended 2000)
This animated series, based on Kevin Smith's 1994 film of the same name, centers on Dante Hicks and Randal Graves, the clerks at The Quick Stop and RST Video. These "slackers" spend most of their time spoofing pop culture and whining about their miserable lives. Adding color to their lives are the resident "hetero-life partners" Jay and Silent Bob, who hang out and sell fireworks outside the store. Every show needs an evil villain, so to accommodate, Leonardo Leonardo was created -- a rich, gay psychopath, who was the evil foil for our heroes. Leonardo's sidekick, the menacing Plug, was a robot. NBA player Charles Barkley voiced himself in nearly every episode, playing the nemesis of Jay and Silent Bob. And Lando was created in episode 3 to address the lack of black characters in the show. Utilizing the animation, the makers inserted tons of film and television spoofs, and cameos from many stars.

This short lived series not only set a record for the length of time it spent on the air, but for the length of the titles as well! The show was green lighted by ABC for six episodes, but the release date kept getting pushed back and after a spot on the Superbowl, they finally got around to airing the series on May 31, 2000. After playing the show for two weeks, the series was abruptly jerked off the air, even though the additional four episodes were scheduled. Plans were made to cut the episodes into a feature film, but this idea was eventually scrapped and all six episodes appeared on video and DVD the following year. Also worth noting, Leonardo Leonardo was based on (and originally voiced by) Alan Rickman (Dogma, Die Hard, Galaxy Quest), but the execs at ABC didn't want Rickman, so Alec Baldwin stepped in to do the voice.

On the video version, the real Jay and Silent Bob come out to introduce each episode (and there's a special appearance by Randal). On the DVD, these clips appear after an animated version of Jay and Silent Bob holding up a card with the episode number. The DVD also includes an audio commentary, two featurettes, animatics, the Superbowl spot, and a long promo made for a film/comic convention. As a DVD-ROM bonus, there are script/storyboards and character profiles.

On December 22, 2002, all six episodes premiered in a marathon on Comedy Central. Since then, the series has aired from time to time on Comedy Central, mostly during late night with the cable channel's other animated programming.moreless

In the year 1989, two married parents named Gabor Csupo and Arlene Klasky made the pilot for the show; their baby son, Brendon, was their inspiration to create the Rugrats. After showing it to Nickelodeon they automatically liked it and turned it into a series; in three years, Rugrats had aired more than fifty episodes. With a total of sixty five episodes they stopped making new episodes and Rugrats was shown in primetime in 1994; after that, the popularity of the show increased. Nickelodeon realized what good ratings they had and they decided to air brand new episodes of Rugrats in 1997; it was so popular that it had its first movie to be shown in theaters the following year featuring a new Rugrat named Dil. After the movie, they aired even more new episodes, including Dil with them on the show; then again in the year 2000, Nickelodeon made a second movie for the Rugrats, giving Chuckie a stepmom and featuring another new Rugrat named Kimi. More new episodes aired after that with Kimi and in the year 2001, Nick had big plans for the show. With Rugrats in their tenth year, so Arlene Klasky and Nickelodeon decided to make the Rugrats ten years older in their anniversary special, "All Growed Up;" this episode was the most viewed Rugrats-related episode. Originally, there were only four young rugrats who would sit in their playpen watching the world go by. The fearless leader of the group was Tommy Pickles, a resourceful baby who hides a plastic screwdriver in his diaper so that they can leave the pen. His best friend was Chuckie, a fearful, red-haired toddler who reluctantly agreed to venture out into the open, unsafe areas of the house. There were also the twins Phil and Lil who were always ready for any new challenge. Leaving the safety of their own playpen, the children would explore their surroundings and try to make sense out of what the adults are doing. Some of the most interesting characters were the parents and Tommy and Angelica's grandfather who would always fall asleep when taking care of the children. The parents' comments are so genuine that they bring a sense of reality to the show. Even the parents had different lives, with Chuckie's widowed father, and Angelica's loving father and busy mother. The series won 4 Emmy Awards for Outstanding Animated Program, Outstanding Animated Children's Program, Outstanding Animation and Outstanding Children's Animated Program.

Dexter's Laboratory is the story of a young boy prodigy. Born with an extraordinary mind, Dexter has built his very own extremely high-tech and expansive laboratory in his room that NASA could only dream of. But Dexter has to keep his lab a secret for fear others will exploit it. Through out the years, Dexter has had to hide his lab from his parents and others but it is no easy task. All Dexter wants is to spend all the time he can inventing new things in his lab, but between his stupid and annoying older sister Dee Dee constantly barging into his lab and tearing up the place and his arch enemy and rival genius Mandark constantly tiring to take over his lab, Dexter's life is anything but easy. Dexter's Laboratory was originally premiered on Cartoon Network as part of the inaugural, Space Ghost hosted, "World Premiere Toons" before becoming a feature with two full shorts on the regular series, a.k.a. the What a Cartoon Show, it eventually became a series itself. Characters: Dexter - Dexter is the big guy here to spite his short size. Dexter's IQ is enough to rival his role model, Albert Einstein. Dexter is an impressionable little boy who loves action. He is always looking for a fight in his giant Robo-Dexter or against his rival, Mandark and when he isn't doing that or working in his lab, he is playing with his action figures or watching TV. You would be hard pressed to see Dexter outside unless he is doing some sort of experiment or fighting some sort of evil. But other than all that, Dexter spends all his time in his lab. Dexter is constantly working on something new and building on to the lab. So much in fact that he has some inventions he can't even remember making and there are parts of the lab he doesn't know anything about. Naturally, Dexter is the head of his class much to the dismay of his fellow students. Dexter is pretty much devoid of friends but he isn't really bothered by it. As long as he can work in his lab, Dexter lives on. Dee Dee - Dexter's older sister is a very happy and delightful girl. Being taller and older than Dexter gives her a sisterly edge. Dee Dee is one of the few who knows about Dexter's lab as she stumbled upon in when the both were younger. But Dexter does not need to worry about her spilling the secret as no one would believe her even if she did. Dee Dee lives in her own little world complete with unicorns, imaginary dragons, and talking ponies. Her room is a pink nightmare of stuffed animals and dolls that Dexter must avoid at all costs. So naturally, no one really takes her seriously. She is a dancer and a singer but insists on practicing in the lab and wreaking the place in the process. She also has some athletic skill in most sports. But behind it all, Dee Dee is actually a very caring sister who does truly love her little brother. Mom - Mom is a happy home maker who can't stand filth in any form. You will be hard pressed not to find her wearing her yellow gloves. She, like Dexter, wears them everywhere. Mom always has dinner on the table by the time Dad gets home and is always willing for a bit of "playing around" with her husband at anytime. She gets the kids on the bus in the morning and off in the evening. Just your standard work at home Mom who sits on the brink of insanity at times. Dexter seems to take after her with her hard work ethic and inability to stop once she starts. She works in the kitchen much like Dexter works in the lab and hates it when Dad drops in to bother her. Dad - Dad is the typical working man. He leaves in the morning for work and comes home in the evening for dinner. He loves sports and working with his tools. He is a handy man and handles most of the hard work around the house. He likes to mess around with his family, especially Dexter. He enjoys annoying his wife in the kitchen and giving her a playful little pinch in the butt. His constant attempts to get Dexter out of his room and into a uniform of some sort usually are forfeit. He is an outdoors man as well. He loves to fish and camp. Dad is a very laid-back guy. Dee Dee seems to take after Dad with his sports skill, his love of the outside, and his thrive at being annoying. Mandark - Mandark is Dexter's rival and he is totally evil. Mandark is on the same intellectual level as Dexter and has proved it many times. He also has his own lab in his room though it doesn't seem to be a secret as Dexter's. Mandark's lab is bigger and better than Dexter's and he never misses a chance to reminded Dexter of that fact. Mandark's #1 ambition is to shut down Dexter's lab thus making him the only genius around. Mandark is always looking for a way to outdo Dexter in anyway possible. Mandark also has a major crush on Dee Dee which is a point that Dexter exploits all the time. His parents are actually peace loving and hippies in a sense. He repents his parent's ways, but still is forced by them to do peaceful rituals when the time comes. FAQ

What Grade is Ginger in? In Season 1 she is in the 7th Grade, in Season 2 she begins 8th grade, and now in Season 3 Ginger will start 9th Grade in High School.

Why is Ginger only airing like one time a week? Yes, Ginger used to air a lot of times a week, maybe Nick thought it wasn't being well received and decided to move the time further away so fans would start wondering. When will Ginger be in more places? I'm not sure yet, hopefully soon to find out.

I read on Don's ATBG site that each season has 20 episodes worth, why is there missing some episodes in the 3 ATBG Seasons? Nick has decided to air the 3 part episodes as actual 'TV Movies' or 'Specials'. Example: 'Far From Home'-the TV Movie (as listed)- would actually count as 3-part episodes to add to Season 2 or 3. and Same with 'Camp Caprice' and 'The Wedding Frame'.

I'm sick of waiting, when will new episodes air like they used to!? This is Nick's choice, obviously Nick decides after 1-2 seasons to air episodes far apart in order to save some. 'Then why are the Season 1-2 episodes aired close together?' - Probably because Nick wanted to be able to air at least 20-30 episodes without worrying if kids get sick of watching the same episodes over and over. But this is Nick's choice and I'm not going to speak for them.

What city does As Told By Ginger Take place in? The series takes place in the city of Sheltered Shrubs (this is a fictional city)

    Characters

Ginger Ginger is a nervous, yet nice, 12 year old pre-teen. She is sister to Carl who she lives with, and also lives with her Mom. Her Dad wasn't that reliable and obviously left Ginger and her family. Ginger wants popularity and would mostly do ANYTHING for it!

Dodie Dodie is best friend to Ginger. Dodie is a gossip girl and drama queen. Dodie trys to be popular as well, but, it seems Ginger is getting more success then her, tough luck Dodie!

Macie Macie is friends with Dodie and Ginger. Macie may not be the most popular girl in the school, (well actually, she's quite a geek!) but, she is quite a laugh and a good friend to Ginger & Dodie.

Courtney Courtney is the most popular girl at her school. Courtney is obviously rich and thinks up in herself. Though, lately she's took a shine to Ginger. Ginger is Courtney's latest popular experiment.

Miranda Miranda is a nasty pre-teen who just wants popularity and best friendship to carry on with Courtney. Miranda hates Ginger because of Ginger and Courtneys latest friendship. But, who will be the winner?

Carl Carl is brother to Ginger and drives her up the wall, including there Mom! Carl just loves anything thats disgusting and dirty, he is best friend to Hoodsey.

Hoodsey Hoodsey is best friend to Carl and brother to Dodie. You wouldn't think they were brother and sister unless you saw they had the same parents and surname. Anyway... Hoodsey likes being naughty just as much as Carl, but, sometimes his Mom gets in the way.

Lois Lois is a caring Mom to Ginger and Carl. She always has a good joke and is like any other normal Mom.moreless
