  • Found something out about Tsubaki.

Since Tsubaki is up against her own brother, it's natural that her past would also be revealed as well. While it was a good battle, it utilizes the most common cliches that gives all action shounens a bad name, and that's emotion driven battles. I mean it's not bad that they use this, but it is such a convenient cop out to use whenever the good guy is losing, and they just dig deep down into their past to get the necessary amount of motivation to defeat their enemies. And Black Star just taking those hits from the villages felt too artificial. Like damn, I know you want to be cool, but if someone was whacking me with a stick to the point I bleed, I'd kick their ass. Though we get to find out more about Tsubaki's character as a person who is always wanting to please her friends. It is no wonder why she works so well with Black Soul.moreless
  • Awesome! Just awesome. Tsubaki's inside the Fey Blade, struggling to end his brother's pain. They go through an intense battle, with a drama Tsubaki must deal with.

This episode really shows how Soul Eater can also get serious at some points, behind the comedy that has been revealed through all the series 'till now. Black Star.. lol That stance with the villagers... Waiting for Tsubaki no matter what... Ok, that serious sad of him did not last for long (of course...) but it does show that Black Star truly has a heart and is loyal to Tsubaki not only as a weapon but also a friend. That end segment... Just lol. About Tsubaki, that last scene against Masamune... That animation, even better than the one we usually see (that is actually good, truly good). Just an episode that will hook you up into this new series.moreless
