    Rockmond Dunbar was born on January 11, 1974, in Oakland, California, and studied at Morehouse College and the University of New Mexico. Rockmond made his film debut in 1998's "Misery Loves Company" and later had roles in "Punks" and "Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang." He also made television guest appearances on "Felicity," "The Pretender" and "North Shore," but he is most famous for his roles as Kenny Chadway in "Soul Food" and as Benjamin Miles 'C-Note' Franklin on Fox's "Prison Break." Rockmond also directed, produced and starred as himself in the film "The Great Commission" in 2003. Rockmond married Ivy Holmes on the 19th of September 2003 and they are still happily married. As of January 2007, it's most likely that he is staying in Texas, since the second season of FOX TV show Prison Break is 'currently' being filmed there.moreless

After high school, he began choreographing which led to landing his first job working with director Lionel Martin. Henson's first acting role was in Martin's film, "Long Shot." Henson was nominated for a MTV Music Award for his work on Jordan Knight's video "Give it to You," and won the award for Best Music Video at the 2000 MTV Music Awards for N'Sync's "Bye, Bye, Bye" video. He continues to expand his talents as a screenplay writer and businessman. Henson created one of the hottest dance videos in 2001 entitled "Darrin's Dance Grooves." He spends time doing big brother charity work and holding Darrin's Dance Grooves seminars. In 2003, Henson also hopes to open Grooves, a summer camp for kids who do not perform well during the school year. As a teenager, Boris was extremely focused on building a tennis career. He was accepted to Virgina Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia through a tennis scholarship. However, a back injury prevented him from pursuing this dream. After modeling came into the picture, Boris moved to America where he learned English and worked with a voice coach to lose his accent. He modeled for many high-profile clothing lines such as Gap and Ralph Lauren.


    Near the end of his modeling days, Boris discovered a love for acting, and made his movie debut in the hit film "Love and Basketball", starring Sanaa Lathan and Omar Epps. He appeared in such shows as "The Steve Harvey Show", "Boston Public", and "Eve". Boris received one of his biggest rolls when he was cast as Damon Carter on the hit series "Soul Food" based on the film released in 1997 about 3 Black sisters (Vanessa Williams, Nia Long and Vivica A. Fox), their families, and the Sunday dinners that keep them all together. It was on the set of "Soul Food" that Boris met his fiance Nicole Ari Parker. (Parker plays Teri on "Soul Food", an uptight lawyer, Kodjoe played Damon, a delivery man with whom Teri fell in love, but was embarrassed to be seen with due to their differences in status.)


    Boris and Nicole co-starred together in the film "Brown Sugar" (starring Taye Diggs and Sanaa Lathan) and now star together as a divorced and re-married couple on the UPN show "Second Time Around"(2004) The two welcomed the birth of their first child in March 2005. They got married on May 21, 2005. They now have a second child, a son named Nicolas Neruda Kodjoe born in October of 2006.moreless
