Extra Info: Instead of a music video or performance, that segment belonged to an interview between Don and Troy Beyer. Troy stopped by Soul Train to talk about her struggle to stardom, and her supposed album that was in the works. She even namedropped George Duke as one of the producers. Too bad it was shelved. Gregory Abbott, during the interview, talked about being a composer, producer, keyboardist, guitarist, and singer. He considered himself a "groove ballad" person. He also was putting together an offshoot group of three girls called Abbott and Co. and was looking for one more. Anita Baker was celebrating the success of the Rapture LP. She, in fact, took her Platinum plaque home back to Detroit to her mother's house-- as she explained in the interview.
