this is from season 11 6/26/1982 epi30 this was also the when the theme changed from the waters to the whiospers performing it now also in the intro they had split screens to show who would be performing on the days shows, with no music of them just the visula window, not until later did they play the artist and the music they were going to perform that day which was real good for the soul train fansmoreless

Extra Info: Instead of a history book segment this episode, "Reverend" Jesse Jackson came to Soul Train representing Operation P.U.S.H (remember that, y'all?!), and explained the serious situation happening in Haiti with its refugees and other dire situations happening politically in the late spring of 1982. Bobby Womack basically was treated like a newcomer with his (then) new LP "The Poet," which ultimately brought him back to the forefront as one of best singer-songwriters in music. The Gap Band had yet to release their "IV" LP when they taped this episode. The first single, "Early in the Morning," had already picked up enough for the LP to be shipped Gold.
