Show Summary

Sound Tracks is a documentary TV series developed by PBS that follows Marco Werman, a well-known public radio host of The World, as he works with a team of international reporters, Alexis Bloom, Arun Rath, and Mirissa Neff, in a journey to discover the intricacies, delights, and stories of music. From the bayous of Louisiana to desert music festivals in Mali, these four journalists hope to bring the pleasure of the world and its music with interviews of Rock and Roll greats, Bollywood singers, and musical prodigies. They ask questions into the significance and meanings of lyrics, the historical and cultural affect the music has, and even how it can embody the soul of a nation. Sound Tracks: Music Without Borders is a musical odyssey highlighting the international and domestic thrills of music with the stories that go along with it.
