Sharon is thrilled that Randy is making an effort to do more things that she enjoys. But, after he takes her to see a hit musical in Denver, Randy becomes Broadway's biggest fan. Sharon is whisked away to New York and treated to every musical on the Great White Way.

After failing to get Shelly out of the theater, Randy takes matters into his own hands by dressing up as Marvel superhero Spider-Man and swinging into the various actors and audience members, eventually leading to the cancellation of the show. This is a reference to the Broadway Musical "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark" and its infamy regarding the various injuries cast members have suffered.
