Every thing about this episode is hilarious, some people will obviously still be sore over the content since it is dealing with a sensitive issue that just resolved. It's too funny the way that they have the Canadian people handling their strike, demanding,"some of that internet money." Yeah, that's what they want some of that internet money! It was good to see the boys in the episode The other episode with only Terrance and Phillip in it was not one of my favorites. They get involved because Kyle is worried about his brother since every single one of the Canadians is striking so is he. Then they call......oh wait i reached the word limit.
Check out the episode its good and from some writers on the inside.moreless

The leader of Canada leads Canada on a strike because they want more money as a country. The boys try to solve this because unless the Canadians get what they want and are done striking, there will not be any new episodes of Terrance and Philip. Will the boys be able to help?

Decent episode of the show I thought. It wasn't completely perfect, some of it near the end bored me. The recurring gag of "I'm not your friend/buddy/guy" got annoying, especially at the end of the episode. But it was overall good. The you tube scene was probably my favorite part.moreless

Description: The leader of the World Canadian Bureau takes the country into a long painful strike, demanding "some of that Internet money" from the other Nations. The boys find themselves tasked with the strike resolving it so they can see some new episodes of "Terrance & Philip". Storyline: The plot was based around my country, Canada, so of course I will adore the episode. However, this episode appealed to me because it was a spoof to the late Writers Strike.

Humor: A line says it all: "I'm not your friend, buddy!" is pretty much one of my top 5 favourite South Park quotes. Other scenes such as the party and the youtube people also brought a nice touch to the humor.

Rating: A contender for the top 20 in my books. It had a well-focused plot, humor that ressembles the golden South Park and the message was cleared.moreless

canada on strike was one of the most spectacular south park episodes of all time
it has the humor, the texture, the plot, the setting, the character development, and great and classical and unique jokes through out.
no offense, but, it deserves a heap more than 8.8 out of ten. i mean come on... why all the hate ??? to me, the butters dancing joke was absolutely hillarious and almost killed me with laughter. canada on strike was an amazing episode. one problem that disturbed me was the writing of this episode. it was not classified well as the other previous episodes..

but anyway, superbly done episode, highly recommended.moreless

  • Canada is on strike. They want ... more money. Possibly the best episode of the season, and one of my all time favourites.

From beginning to end this episode was extremely entertaining and funny. Being Canadian, I was not at all offended by the jokes that were put in to this episode on subject of Canada.

But this was really a funny episode, and I really enjoyed it. There are guest stars in this episode from the internet (the star wars kid, numa numa guy, the dramatic gopher, etc), and I really liked the fact that these characters were put in to the episode.

If you stopped watching the season at the beginning because you thought that the show would never get back on track and start being funny and enjoyable again, then you thought wrong. This episode brought the show back for me, but the preceding episodes weren't the greatest, but they weren't horrible either. Canada on strike is easily the best episode of the season.moreless

    • There are no Bennigan's locations in Canada, making only the bag of gumballs worth something to the Canadians. Edit
    • After the Internet stars kill each other, they never show what happened to the baby panda, the Back Dormitory Boys, laughing baby, Lonely Girl nor Bubb Rubb. It's implied that they died too, though. Edit
    • When the Star Wars Kid appears, the Star Wars theme music is played (it was altered, so that there won't be legal issues). However, the music is never played in the actual video. Edit

    • Female Reporter: Do you really think you Danish can replace the Canadians? Danish Man: Well, where we come from it's pretty cold too. We like hockey and nobody really pays any attention to us. Danish Woman: Nobody knows where Denmark is. Danish Man: Right. So when you think about it, we're the Canadians of Europe. Edit
    • Stephen Abootman: We'll win! We'll just have to stay resilient! Phillip: Well, yeah, but everyone is dying of starvation. Terrance: Yeah, let's give it up, guy. • James Brown - Sex Machine: The chorus and other parts of Butter's song "What what (in the butt)" are similar to the song "Sex Machine" by James Brown, "Get up (get on up)". Edit
    • Variety:

After Canada "wins" which ends their strike, their success is written about in Canadiety, which is an allusion to the entertainment trade magazine, Variety. Edit
    • WGA:

The plot behind this episode is an allusion to the recent strike made by the Writer's Guild of America, or the WGA. Canada and the World Canadian Bureau play the part of the strikers in this case. The Canadians' plea for more money, including "internet money", also alludes to the WGA wanting revenue from internet usage of their material. Edit
