Stan, Kyle, Kenny, and Cartman have a new home.
Hulu has landed a multi-year licensing deal to exclusively stream every season of Comedy Central's long-running animated comedy South Park. The streaming service announced the agreement at the Television Critics Association's summer press tour on Saturday, where series creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker were on hand to celebrate the news.
"This is a natural partnership for us," Stone and Parker said in a statement. "We are excited that the entire library will be available on Hulu and that the best technology around will power South Park Digital Studios."
The entire series is available for free on Hulu until the Season 18 premiere on Wednesday, September 24. SouthPark.cc.com will continue to stream Seasons 1-17 until the Season 18 premiere, at which time both Hulu and SouthPark.cc.com will host a revolving selection of free episodes available. Fans will have next-day access to new episodes on Hulu.
Both Parker and Stone praised the partnership with Hulu and said that they had wanted to rip off the streaming site's functional player years ago after suffering from years of glitches on their own site. "We want everyone to know South Park Studios will now work," Parker told reporters jokingly, explaining that Hulu's player will be up on their site as well.
