I have been wondering this for awhile, even though all the boys don't want to admit it (Kenny, Cartman, Kyle, and Stan) they are all close friends with a hate and love relationship. It has also been pointed out obviously that Stan and Kyle are best friends, however in some episodes it has been stated that Kenny and Cartman are best friends as well? What do you think. Because in many episodes Cartman bursts out randomly saying he hates Kenny the most.

Personally I think that these two are the best characters in the show (Well, I am a Kenny Fangirl, but Cartman is my 2nd favorite) with their crude humor, and it seems that Kenny is the only one in the show who finds Cartmans jokes funny and not offensive.

    What do you guys think?

Nah, I really don't think they're best friends like, Stan and Kyle of course. In the episode " Best Friends Forever" Cartman did explains that him and Kenny are BFF because thet bothhave a BFF necklaces or something like that. So I really don't think they're are really best friend.

Cartman only says he and Kenny are best friends if he's mad at someone or needs something.

Doesn't Kenny write in his will in "Best Friends Forever" that he never really liked Cartman?

I personally think that Cartman just acts sometimes that he doesn't like Kenny, because he doesn't really have many friends, so he doesn't really know how to react that he does have one. If that makes any sense.

As for what Kenny thinks about Cartman, in one episode, (I don't remember which one) it might've been "Best Friends Forever") he states that he feels sorry for Cartman because Cartman doesn't have any friends. I dunno, that's just what I think.

I wouldn't say they are exactly best friends, but Cartman is closer to Kenny than Stan and definetly Kyle.

In 'Trapped in the Closet', Cartman said that he still hated Kyle more then Stan, so Kenny is the closest thing Cartman has to a friend

I don't think so, in the earlier seasons Cartman used to always make fun of the fact that Kenny was poor!

Well to start it is not like he stopped saying it. He still says it all the time.

In Kenny dies Cartman says Kenny is his best friend, then again in BFF he says they are BFF, and they both wear the necklace. Although in Kenny's will he Kenny speifically says that kyle and stan are the bestfriends heever had andhe never liked Cartman.

Based just on the facts the only question is why does Kenny have a BFF necklace. Other than that there are no real signs as to suggest that heCartman wouldashisbest friend. And everytime Cartman has said Kenny was his best friend was so he could somehow get something for himself (a shakies pizza, psp).

Kenny is Cartman's only friend and he does not understand how to react to having a friend

Your welcome. And that's how I've thought of it ever since the 'Best Friends Forever' episode. I didn't read any of the post beyond the first, so sorry if I stole your thought, it wasn't intentional.

Cartman obviously put it on Kenny when no-one was looking.

I'd say they are best friends, or at least they were before Cartman was destroyed by the writers by becoming the anti-christ.

In the earlier episodes, Kenny and Cartman hang out most together, e.g. Clubhouses,. and they do seem to be more alike - well Kenny always laughs at the stupid things Cartman says when no-one else does cos only Kenny understands it - "I play with myself all day long."

And of course, Cartman is gutted that Kenny's gonna die in Series 5 and he clearly says from the heart that he always thought they were best friends.

So yeah they are best friends, even if Cartman doesn't act like it.

It's fine. I didn't think that you stole it. I just thought it was one of those "great minds think alike" moments.
Besides, I kind of stole it from someone else. I dunno, I think that I saw it on wikipedia or something, and it just makes sense to me.

I think they are really close friends and Cartman just hides it.

Personally, I think Stan and Kyle are the closest of friends and everyone pretty much just tolerates Cartman.
