I been wondering since I first saw the show in September [syndication].

Because back then it was funny—think the Simpons couch scene. It eventually grew tiresome so they killed him off permanently and then brought him back permanently (although he did die one other time since).

They actully say why in a episode I think it was because God wanted him to lead a army against hell if I remember right

But, what about the early episodes when he died dozens of times? My guess is that God revives him everytime he goes to heaven. That could explain it instead of it being continually goofs.

Kenny is a representation of that small, innocent child in all of us that must eventually die as we grow up & become adults

He has died twice by the way since then, Michel "Jefferson" killed him and he dies in the golden PSP episode

You forgot to mention that he was killed in a crossfire by the Tung members in "Wing".

Kenny always dies becuase it is funny to see death portrayed in so many ways. It is kind of disturbing, but really funny.
