I thought this episode was so funny when the character of CESAR MILLIAN the DOG WHISPERER was helping train Cartman with that TAP. Didn't take long for Cartmans mother to catch on.
  • This episode shows how insensitive some adults are

Cartman has a point that Ceasar's way of "rehabilitating" is abuse, Those people in nanny shows and Ceasar Milan are practically the same, "Nanny 911" seems to treat children there like "pets", There's no such thing as "Pack leaders or the most dominant person in a family, Children just need to learn how to respect and behave, sure children can be hyperactive at times, Parents think that they are out of control, But for kids it's simply playing games, nannies or caretakers can't change their behaviour, only their parents can change them. Children don't need discipline at these situations (like spanking them when they did something bad etc.) they need counseling, parents need their children to understand that what they did is wrong, if they use physical discipline, kids might think that they're parents hate them which causes them to behave more badly.

Also don't think that giving what they want can stop their whining (like when they want candy/food etc.)It only makes things worse, like Cartman's mom, Lianne keeps giving Cartman whatever he wants when he wants it. She seems to let Cartman take over her life. Since Lianne keeps giving Cartman anything he likes cartman thinks that he should get everything he wants.

Whoa... I'm being off-topic right nowmoreless
  • funny stuff

liane tries to change cartman's behavior once and for all, by having "The Dog Whisperer" come. at first, it seems cartman really has changed, but is it just a ploy? is cartman really a nice boy?

funny episode. cartman yelling at the way he was treated was funny and the plot was great. only negative thing i have was the nanny eating her own.. you know. I found that really gross, but othrwise this was a really funny episode with a great plot that made me wonder what was to come, so "Tsst" gets a B+ in my book. Greatmoreless
  • Great episode

This is a wonderful episode! It was a lot like the actual show too. Ms. Cartman tried every possible nanny to try to control Eric's bad behavior and finally has to resort to using the Dog Whisperer. He has her drag Cartman around on a leash and everything. Treating him like a dog was the only way to get him under control. And it would have worked, except as soon as he left she went right back to spoiling him, letting Cartman go back to his old self that everyone both loves and hates. A very funny episode that everyone should watch, whether you like the show or not.moreless
  • It can't be better

I love South Park and Cesar Millan. But I don't understand why I have to write at least 100 words on here. I just want to see this episode and laugh with Cartman's sentences and want to see either how is painted Cesar Millan. I love to see his show, here in Spain. I think he is great, and so intelligent, and so sexy and...well. This is so boring. How long must I've been still write down? counting 78 words now...and still could't see this episode. I thought this will be easier, what a waste of time. I think this is toomoreless

    • (Liane cries when telling Mr. Mackey about Cartman's behavioral problems)
Cartman: (to Mr. Mackey) Well, nice going, asshole! You made my mom cry!
Liane: It's not him, it's you, Eric. I don't know what to do with you.

    • Liane: Eric, how would you like to go with me to see Madame Butterfly Friday night?
Cartman: No, that's okay, besides I've told Stan and Kyle we can work on our science project then.
Liane: Well, what if I took you to Kentucky Fried Chicken afterward? And then we'll go to Target, and I'll buy you a Mega Ranger.
Cartman: Could I perhaps have two Mega Rangers?
Liane: Yes, darling. You can have anything you want. (she hugs him)

    • Cartman: God dammit! I am not a dog!

    • Mr. Mackey: Mrs. Cartman, we have had it with your son's behavior, m'kay!? Little Billy Turner is now being treated at the hospital!
Liane: Eric, why would you do such a thing?
Cartman: I'm sorry I handcuffed Billy Turner's ankle to the school flagpole.
Mr. Mackey: You know that's not the point!
Cartman: (sighs) Okay, I'm sorry I handcuffed Billy Turner's ankle to a flagpole and then gave him a hacksaw. And then told him I had poisoned his lunch milk and that the only way he could get to the antidote in time would be to saw through his leg.
      Liane: That's very naughty, Eric.
Cartman: Well, he called me chubby!

    • Cartman: (to the Dog Whisperer) Suck my asshole, taco vendor!

    • Cartman: Hey, Jimmy. You're not going to believe this, but... I ran away from home. I just... really need the support from my best friend right now.
      Jimmy: Who's your best friend?
Cartman: You are, Jimmy! We've always been best friends! We know everything about each other!
      Jimmy: What's my last name?
(Cartman realises he doesn't know, so he walks off in a huff)
      Cartman: Goddamn it!

    • Cartman: Craig, dude, I ran away from home. You're the first person I came to. I knew you'd take me in off the streets.
      Craig: But I hate you.
Cartman: Should that really matter at a time like this?

    • Nanny Stella: What else are you feeling, Eric?
Cartman: Well, I'm feeling confused, because I don't understand why you became a nanny.
Nanny Stella: Me? Well, it's because I love children like you.
Cartman: Right, but... if you love children so much, how come you're not a mommy?
Nanny Stella: Oh, I just never had kids.
      Cartman: Why not?
Nanny Stella: It... just... didn't happen.
Cartman: You're sterile, is that it?
      (Nanny Stella is taken aback)
Cartman: No, that's too convenient of an excuse. The truth is, nobody ever wanted to have babies with you. Isn't that it?
      (Nanny Stella becomes horrified)
Cartman: Always the mom's maid and never the mom? Must be hard on you, knowing that the years are ticking away, your friends all getting married and, all the while, your uterus slowly shriveling away, drying up, becoming totally worthless.
Nanny Stella: Why, you, you... YOU LITTLE BASTARD!!! How dare you?!
      Liane: (calmly) Eric, naughty.
Nanny Stella: (picks Cartman up by the collar) What kind of monster would...
Cartman: Yes, let the anger come! Strike me down while you can! But it won't make your dried-up ovaries any more fertile!

    • Cartman: You guys, I've come to a decision: I'm going to have to kill my mother.

    • (At the mental hospital)
Doctor: I'm afraid Super Nanny is in a state of deep psychosis.
      Liane: What do you mean?
Doctor: I mean she spends most of her time sobbing and eating her own excrement.
(They look inside Super Nanny's room, where she is fishing excrement out of her toilet with her hand and eating it)
Super Nanny (through mouthfuls of poop): From heeell! It's from heeell!

    • Nanny Stella: (to Cartman) All right, that's it! You're going to time-out!
      Cartman: Time-out?
(Nanny Stella takes him to a stool and places him on it)
Nanny Stella: Whenever you are naughty, Eric, you are going to sit on this stool for five minutes.
Cartman: And what exactly keeps me on the stool?
Nanny Stella: It's the time-out stool. You can't get down until the time is up.
(Cartman looks at Nanny Stella, then hops off the stool)
Cartman: Whoa! How did I do that?
Nanny Stella: Eric, you have to stay in time-out!
Cartman: (starts to pick up his X-Box) Ummm, no?
(Nanny Stella takes Cartman's hands off the X-Box and puts him back on the stool)
Nanny Stella: Come on, you don't have a choice!
Cartman: All right, seriously, you're starting to piss me off now!

    • Cartman: What the hell is this? Skinless chicken? BOILED vegetables and salad?!?! This is just like Auschwitz!
Dog Whisperer: (Talking to Liane Cartman) This is more aggressive dominant behavior, don't nurture it
Cartman: Oh my god… BITE SIZE SNICKERS?! That's it! I'm calling Child Protective Services!

    • (Cartman enters Stan's living room as Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Butters are playing Monopoly)
Cartman: Hey guys, I've got some pretty big news... (sigh) ...I ran away from home... Yeah, my mom just... doesn't care about me anymore, so I just moved out. She didn't even try to stop me. It's gonna be tough livin' on my own... but I'll get by, somehow...
Stan: (uninterested) You can't stay here.
Cartman: Maybe you didn't hear me! I ran away! I don't have anywhere to sleep! I'm out on the streets!
Kyle: (uninterested) You're not staying at my house either.
Cartman: All right, that's fine! Butters, I'll crash with you.
Butters: No. My parents won't let me bring homeless people home anymore.
Cartman: (getting pissed off) Well, what do you guys expect me to do?! Stay at Kenny's house?! His family's totally poor! I'm not staying with poor people!
(Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Butters continue to play Monopoly without caring for Cartman)
Cartman: All right, I'll stay with Kenny! Let's go, man!
      Kenny: (muffled) F(beep)k you.
Cartman: Ooh! Well, I guess now we see just how supportive friends can be! When the chips are down, you won't even lend a hand! I'll just go sleep on the street somewhere! Out in the cold! Probably get mugged and gang-raped by some minorities! You guys will be sorry when I turn up dead! (storms out of the room)

  • NOTES (3)

    • For the first 7 episodes of this season, the show was nominated for the 2006 Teen Choice Award for "Choice Animated TV Show".

    • There are several references in this episode to Trey Parker's wife, who is Japanese: Liane studies sumi-e, and wants to go and see Madame Butterfly, an opera about a Western man who has a relationship with a Japanese geisha.

    • The title "Tsst" is a word imitating the sound that Cesar and later Liane make when they pinch Cartman on the neck with their fingers to establish dominance.

    • Contact:

The first part of the transformation Cartman goes through, where ghost-like images of Cartman's face appear and repeat lines from earlier in the episode, is a reference to the 1997 film Contact.

This marks the third time the series has mocked this film, the other times were in Tom's Rhinoplasty and Cancelled.

    • Return of the Jedi:

In the scene where the first nanny becomes extremely angry, Cartman says "Yes! Let the anger come! Strike me down while you can!" This is a reference to Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, when the Emperor tries to turn Luke Skywalker to the dark side by inciting anger in him.

    • Saw and Saw II:

When Cartman says that he handcuffed a kid's ankle to the flagpole, said he poisoned his milk, and that he needed to saw off his leg to get to the antidote is a reference to the movies "Saw" and "Saw 2". (The part about the poisoned milk is the reference to "Saw 2".)

    • Nanny Skexis:

This nanny is a reference to the Skeksis from the 1982 film The Dark Crystal, a film produced by Jim Henson's company. They also resurfaced in episode #31 of the series Farscape, another Henson company production.

    • The Omen:

At the end of the episode when Cartman turns evil again and the camera focuses on him, the song playing in the background is "Ave Satani" from the 1976 film The Omen.

    • Altered States:

When Cartman is wrestling with his inner demons out in the hallway and pounding on the walls and changes colors, etc. It is just like the scene in the 1980 film featuring William Hurt, Altered States.

    • Auschwitz:

Cartman: This is just like Auschwitz!

Auschwitz was an infamous concentration camp from the time of the Holocaust.

    • FONY:

The TV that Cartman has is a FONY TV. This is a rip off of SONY.

    • The Dog Whisperer/Cesar Milan:

Cesar Milan is "The Dog Whisperer," a man with the ability to whisper to dogs and get them to stop misbehaving.
