  • Space Ghost welcomes Jeff Foxworthy to the show, but pays little attention to him, instead focusing on moving to America to capture American audiences. However, Moltar and Zorak are not being cooperative.moreless

This is one of the best episodes of Space Ghost, especially since Jeff Foxworthy has no idea what's going on. He gets frustrated towards the end of the episode and asks Space Ghost, "Do you actually do any research on your guests?" when Space Ghost doesn't understand the term redneck and Jeff Foxworthy's subsequent "You might be a redneck if..." jokes. Jeff Foxworthy was obviously expecting the typical late-night talk show format, but instead got Space Ghost planning to move the show to the U.S., Moltar complaining about America ("I don't want to got to America, they extradite!") and Zorak's fascination with the poo he just produced, with little attention bestowed upon him or his jokes.

While episodes like the sixth season's "Rio Ghosto" are great because guests like Kevin Smith are aware of the comic and absurd nature of the show and are fun to watch because they can joke around about whatever zany situation may be happening on Ghost Planet, this episode proves that guest who don't understand the set-up, and are therefore distressed at the lack of attention and questions are quite possibly funnier.moreless

  • QUOTES (5)

    • Space Ghost: Now, Jeff, you claim to be an authority on 'red necks,' and yet I noticed your neck is strangely pale.

    • Moltar: I don't want to be an American! They'll discriminate against me because of my metal skin.
Space Ghost: Well, who wouldn't, you red outcast?! I mean, look at you! You're a garbage can that talks! Were it me, I wouldn't go out in public!

    • Space Ghost: Americaners don't trust foreigners, especially when they don't live there! That stuff about the 'melting pond?'
      Moltar: Yeah.
      Space Ghost: It hasn't melted!

    • Space Ghost: Open wide, Lady Liberty, because Space Ghost is coming to America - today!

    • Space Ghost: Jeff, you're an American. What is it with you Americans and your obsession with barrels?
Jeff Foxworthy: You know, I have to tell you. I've done a lot of talk shows. These are the stupidest questions that I have ever been asked.
