  • Amazing

A Place In This World was a superb episode of Spartacus: Vengeance and I really enjoyed watching this episode as it had more character and plot development along with bloody action, drama and intrigue. It was great to see Lucretia in a new mind frame, or at least pretending to be. I really enjoy how well put together the scenes are, and how top quality each episode .

A Place In This World was a superb episode of Spartacus: Vengeance and I really enjoyed watching this episode as it had more character and plot development along with bloody action, drama and intrigue. It was great to see Lucretia in a new mind frame, or at least pretending to be. I really enjoy how well put together the scenes are, and how top quality each episode really is in that regard. From the cinematography, editing and music to the acting, props, makeup, costumes and directing, every aspect is on point and performing at the top of their game. I am growing to like Liam as Spartacus, he definitely earned honors with this episode. I look forward to watching more to see what happens!!!!!!!!!moreless
  • Grusome

    7.5
From the previous episode this is by far more gruesome. Spartacus lead former gladiators and slave to attack a villa to free more slaves to join his cause. The plot is thickening but more is needed here something is still missing a spark or a since of drama hopefully things will get better along the way. Compare to the first season this season has a lot of work to do to even be compared to that.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • Tiberius' real name is Nasir. He is of Syrian origin.

    • Oenomaus has returned to the pits, where he fights as Addonexus. It's revealed that the pits was his first fighting ground when he was brought to Rome as part of a Numidian group of slaves. His fighting skills got the attention of Quintus Batiatus' father, who bought him and trained him to become a gladiator.

  • QUOTES (5)

    • Agron: (Referring to Nasir and the other slaves of the villa) If we are to stand against Glaber and the Romans we must liberate fighting men. Not waste effort on dwindling hope and worthless house slaves.
Spartacus: Every man has his worth. A lesson the Romans will soon learn.

    • Crixus: You yet wish to train this fuck?
      Spartacus: The boy deserves opportunity.
Crixus: He was given such a thing and made attempt on your life in response.
Agron: Gods save me, I find myself in agreement with a Gaul.
Spartacus: He has known nothing but slavery. The strength of such a tether not easily severed.
Crixus: Perhaps never to be so.
Spartacus: And if we take his life? What message will that send to those who wish to join our cause?
Agron: That they had best be agreeable?
Spartacus: We're Romans then? Commanding through fear and threat of death?
Crixus: If he makes attempt again, I will make sure he joins his fucking Dominus (Hits Nasir and leaves)
Agron: And how do you propose we train this wild little dog?
Spartacus: As Batiatus had Doctore train me.
Agron: And that turned out so well.

    • Donar: (Watching as Spartacus trains Nasir) Should have put the boy down. A dog bites once, he will bare fucking teeth again.
      Agron: Pity.

    • Agron: You press fortune. Glaring so at the slayer of Theokoles.
Nasir: His victory but proving even giants fall.
Agron: What name do you go by, little man? So I may properly mourn your passing?
      Nasir: I am called Tiberius.
Agron: Tiberius? You are far too dark to have such a fair Roman name.
Nasir: I am more Roman than Syrian.
Agron: There was a Syrian at our ludus. A treacherous fuck, if ever there breathed. You had family there?
Nasir: I only recall a brother.
Agron: I too had a brother.
      Nasir: No longer?
Agron: He was struck down by the Romans.
Nasir: When you turned swords against them?
Agron: As you shall one day. If you hold any fucking sense.

    • Spartacus: You did well, Tiberius.
Nasir: Nasir (Looking towards Agron) My brother called me Nasir.
(Agron gives a small nod of recognition)
