During Substitute, Colin Lane names 4 of the 6 songs from both teams. He recognised a 5th, but was unable to give the correct name even though he said nearly every line from it.
While riding the bike in Malvern Stars On 45, Alan Brough is able to give the names for 5 of the 6 songs played. All 6 songs are named well under the time limit.
Dave O'Neil: Hand's off Robert
Alan Brough: That's the first O'Neil and O'Neil single.
(After the next question)
Dave O'Neil: Round of applause for Robert
Alan Brough: That's your second single
Robert Forster: Album title?
Dave, Alan, Robert: Robert!
Colin Lane: How come he get's a round of applause? (pauses) Cause he's Robert!
Dave O'Neil: Robert's so much more than Colin.
(During Substitute)
Dave: (Singing) Robert, you wrote this song. Or maybe it was the other bloke. Shite.
Colin: (Buzzing in) Streets of Your Town, the Go Betweens.
Adam: YES!
Dave: Robert, you're in that band.
Colin: Robert, what's going on?
Alan: You can see what's going on as well as we can!
(During Malvern Stars on 45)
Adam Hills: Colin.
Colin Lane: Sorry?
Adam Hills: It's your turn.
Colin Lane:Really? Are you from Seria?
Colin Lane: Boooo!
Alan Brough: Did you just boo me for guessing correctly?
Colin Lane:... Yup.
Alan Brough: Fair enough.
Substitute books tonight were:
Clement Freud's Book of Hangovers, by Clement Freud. It was published by Macmillan, in 1981.
How to help your child fly through life by Andrew Martin.
The O'Neil and O'Neil album
During the show, Dave O'Neil states that he and Sharon O'Neil should do an album together. Many comments throughout the rest of the show then relate to this statement.
