    • TRIVIA (1)

      • In the episode "Never Step on a Scorpion," Peter Parker is wearing a white button down short-sleeved shirt, red tie, and a yellow sweater. However, for both of Peter's viewed changes into Spider-Man, the episode uses stock footage where Peter is slipping off a long-sleeved white dress shirt (which he wears with his blue suit) to reveal his costume underneath.

    • QUOTES (1)

      • Quotes from Never Step On a Scorpion:

Peter: I just remembered... I forgot something.
Betty: I forgot something, too. I forgot to stay in bed this morning!

The Scorpion: Don't you know that the natural prey of a scorpion is... a spider!
        Spider-man: Tell me more, Nature-boy!

    • NOTES (4)

      • This episode is available on the VHS Marvel Comics Video Library Volume 8: "The Sandman: Nothing Can Stop The Sandman".

      • The Scorpion story is a condensed version of of the stories shown in both The Amazing Spider-Man #20 and #29, with many scenes and lines taken directly from the original comics.

The most notable omission is the back story detailing how Macdonald "Mac" Gargan was a private investigator hired by Jameson to find out how Parker was able to take so many good pictures of Spider-Man. Jameson later recruits Gargan to undergo Stilwell's experiment, irreversibly turning him into the Scorpion. This is partly the reason why the Scorpion has a grudge against Jameson. It's also noteworthy that Doctor Stilwell dies in the original comic story while attempting to cure the Scorpion.

      • First appearances of The Scorpion and The Sandman.

      • "Never Step On a Scorpion" was followed by a sequel -- "Sting of the Scorpion" -- at the end of Season 1.
