    • This episode is available on the VHS Marvel Comics Video Library Volume 10: "Doctor Octopus: The Power Of Doctor Octopus".

It was also released on the VHS and DVD Spider-Man: Return Of The Green Goblin.

    • "The Terrible Triumph of Doctor Octopus" is a loose adaptation of a storyline running in The Amazing Spider-Man starting with issue #53.

In the original story Dr. Octopus uses the Nullifier (which doesn't look like a missle) to erase Spider-man's memory and eventually convinces Spidey to join him. Also noteworthy in this story is that Dr. Octopus is boarding at Aunt May's house after Peter had moved out. The Dr. Octopus story finished in The Amazing Spider-Man #56 but Peter did not regain his memory until Issues #58.

    • Blackwell's career has apparently revived nicely after the "demonstration" he provided Spider-Man in "Farewell Performance" a few episodes earlier...
