Goof: When the Chameleon first assumes Firestar's form, he's somehow able to generate heat and fly away. However, he doesn't have the ability to utilize the powers to the superheroes he's impersonating.
It appears that Spider-Man and the others aren't too bright. They can't tell if one of their friends is the Chameleon? The glowing eyes and echoing voice practically give him away.
The Chameleon's computer uses a strange number system for measuring time. He says that "in exactly one minute" a bomb is going off. On the countdown screen, it reads T - 1:00 However, in the next second, the timer reads T - 9:90. Then, T - 9:80, etc. The countdown eventually reaches correct values when shown at T - 20 seconds.
Chameleon: Sub-Mariner, otherwise known as Prince Namor of Atlantis. Captain America, superhero, super-patriot, super-fool. Shanna of the jungle where only the strong survive. Dr. Strange, your occult powers will not help you her. And the Spider-Friends, you have all prossed me, prevented my plots, squelched my schemes, but no more, never again. Seven little superheroes will vanish one by one, seven little superheroes, sonn there'll be none (laughs while Ms. Lion barks in the background).
This was the last animated series that actor Hans Conreid lent his voice to before he passed on about a year after this episode aired. A prolific voice over since the days of radio, he was probably best known for Captain Hook in Disney's Peter Pan and Snidely Whiplash in the Dudley Do-Right shorts.
"7 Little Super-Heroes" refers to Agatha Christie's "10 Little Indians" where a group of strangers are invited to a remote island where they are killed one by one according to a nursery rhyme.
