  • Trivia

    • At one point during Doc Ock's phone coversation with Jameson, the green part of his left sleeve is missing as his arm is flesh-colored.

    • When Spider-Man is fighting, at the time the countdown for the rocket engine starts, time seems to have frozen because when he stops thinking about what to do, the clock says 7 secs. left, when the dynamo should have gone off already. The rate of change in time on the timer is inconsistent.

  • Quotes

    • Peter: (about Felicia Hardy's mansion) So when does this place apply for statehood?

    • Doctor Octopus: You are making a career out of interference, Spider-Man!
Spider-Man: Some career! No salary, no vacation time, and talk about on-the-job health hazards!

    • Peter: I'm no longer your student and theres nothing more you can teach me.
      Doc Ock: Oh no!

    • Spider-Man: How about a trade my friends for your life's work!

    • Jameson: [after Parker is apparently smashed] Even Parker didn't deserve that.
      Felicia: You.......heartless freak!
Doc Ock: Freak! I'm merily the victim of an accident and anyone can have an accident.
      Spider-Man: Don't touch her!
Doc Ock: Spider-Man, your making a career of interference.
      Spider-Man: Some career.

    • Peter: Maybe I should wear a suit... or at least a new shirt?
Servant: Come in, Mr Parker. I'll announce you.
Peter: Yep, definately a new shirt.

    • Felicia Hardy: He reminds me of Flash Thompson - all hands!

    • Spider-Man: Hands up! All of them!

    • Doctor Octopus: Double jeopardy, Spider-man. If you manage to turn off the dynamo, you'll face the full fury of Doctor Octopus. And if you don't, perhaps you'll live long enough to see your friends' molecules fry!
      Spider-Man: That's what I love about life - choices!

  • Notes

    • This was adapted into comic book format in Spider-Man Adventures #7. It was later reprinted in Spectacular Spider-Man (UK Magazine) #2.

    • This episode was released on video and DVD called "Spider-Man vs. Doc Ock" along with other episodes.

    • Doctor Octopus/Otto Octavius first appeared in the comics in The Amazing Spider-Man #3. Spidey had quite some trouble handling him at first and the Fantastic Four had to be called in.

    • Through out the course of the series, certain things happen to Mary Jane and Felicia that, in the comics, actually happened to another character by the name of Gwen Stacy. However, she was not included in the series because eventually she does die during a confrontation with the Green Goblin. They didn't want people to get to know a character that would have to die in the end.
