When Ben is demonstrating that he can change between the Thing and his human form, he nods as the Thing. While doing that, the shadow of his brow ridge shifts from under the ridge to over it.
When Dr. Doom first meets with the heroes outside his castle, one shot of the group has Ben Grimm wearing boots like the rest of the Fantastic Four even though he was actually barefoot.
When Doom teleports the heroes to New Latveria, the scene that is shown is taken from "Arrival". You can see Spider-Man, The Fantastic Four, and the Lizard, which is a goof because they are already at New Latveria.
Human Torch: We were transformed into The Fantastic Four when Reed convinced Ben to pilot our ship into outer space. We were unexpectedly bombarded with strange radiation that changed us forever. But while Reed, my sister and I gained fantastic new powers Ben was forever turned into an ugly monster. Reed feels responsible for Ben becoming the Thing.
Spider-Man: You can't control the god-like abilities you've stolen!
Doctor Doom: Bah! Who amongst you has ever wanted to give their superpowers?
Spider-Man: I have, because I learned time and time again that with great power comes great responsibility.
Dr. Doom tried to win The Thing's friendship by turning him into a human, which is something that is similar to what happened in the movie Fantastic 4.
In this episode Doctor Doom takes the Beyonder's powers just as he did in the original Secret Wars comic.
Sue refers to acid burns on Doom's face - in the comic, his scarred face resulted from donning his mask too soon after it was forged, and burning his face.
The Fantasticar makes a brief appearance in this episode.
As has been the case with three-quarters of the Fantastic Four in this three-parter, Doctor Doom's voice actor also changes from the "Fantastic Four" cartoon. Tom Kane takes on the role, replacing Simon Templeman. Templeman played the role in the second season of the cartoon and in his two guest appearances on the "Incredible Hulk" series, having replaced Neil Ross, who voiced the character in one episode of the first season, in turn having replaced John Vernon, who voiced the character in the original season one three-parter that introduced him.
Human Torch: I have a bad feeling about this...!
When entering New Latveria, the Human Torch's comment echoes the sentiments of the characters in the Star Wars movies, most of whom at one time or another commented that "I have a bad feeling about this...!"
