This episode is about how Robbie meets up with the already known Tombstone, who actually turns out to be his childhood friend! Things come to a head when Randy becomes part of the Bandanna Gang, led by Tombstone, and when Robbie or “Straight Arrow” plans to publish the Silvermane story, revealing what connections Alicia Silvermane has to her father’s empire. This is a great episode, and unlike some other episodes in this season, like the Spot, the episode fits the title of the Sins of the Fathers. It also gives us more scenes of Robbie's past. However it is somewhat different since it was Robbie who had to stop Tombstone, not really Spider-Man, just as Madame Webb had predicted.moreless

    • Spider-Man: Another swim in that chemical soup and your hair might turn green!
A reference to the Joker, particularly the 1989 film, which showed Jack Napier's (Jack Nicholson) fall into a vat of chemicals in a similar building to the one here.

    • Spider-Man: He ain't my brother - he's heavy!
This is a reference to the line from the classic film "Boy's Town". A statue of one boy giving another a piggyback ride with the line, "He ain't heavy - he's my brother!" is one of the logos of Girls and Boys Town as well as Boys Town National Research Hospital, both in Omaha, NE.
