  • Yet another villain is introduced, this time Mysterio, the villain with a fishbowl for a head!

This episode introduces a new villain, Mysterio. An ex-expert in creating special effects for movies, Quentin Beck returns as Mysterio to get his revenge on Spidey, the guy who handed him to the police, thus "ruining" his career.
The episode might not seem much, but thanks to the spectacular animation and the perfect voice effects they added to Mysterio's voice, this episode shinned.
The story was a good old-fashioned Spidey story. Nothing colossal happened, no ultimate battle which he has to win, just a superhero vs. super villain fight.
The character of Mysterio was really well presented in this episode, featuring his origin, a decent back story, and something other of Spidey's villains lacked during the series, motivation for what he does.
Definitely, Mysterio was one of the coolest looking villains this show offered. It's just too bad he wasn't featured in more episodes. He would have worked wonders on the show.
Of course, there's also the obligatory humorous moments, this time provided once again by J. Jonah Jameson. His character was great, adding great one-liners which could match Spidey's.
On another note, this episode introduced a new recurring character, and an interesting one. Detective Terri Lee, one of the few people in the city that actually thought Spidey was a hero. She may have disagreed sometimes with him about how he goes around to save the city, but she was his friend. Overall a good episode, with great animation and a story which will entertain you.
