Another impossibly fast "instant change" occurs when Peter watches a helicopter flying past his apartment, firing a pair of machine guns at a target below. Peter leaps up to the ceiling, crawling quickly towards the attic turret, and vanishes from view. Only a second or two later, he emerges from the attic window having completely suited up as Spider-Man.
FBI Agent Moseley: That was you called us yesterday, wouldn't it? (frisks Peter) You've been trying to tell me this isn't the phone you used to call about the Kingpin?
Peter: Uh...
FBI Agent Moseley: Here's the guy you know. (shows a picture of Spider-Man in the screen) How long you've been cahoots with Spider-Man?
Peter: Cahoots? I think I'm not with anybody.
FBI Agent Moseley: I think you are. Spider-Man steals the TX-1. You call in the Kingpin shag story to send use sniffing the wrong mutt. I'm only going to ask you this once: where do we find Spider-Man?
Peter: Spider-Man and I don't actually see eye to eye.
FBI Agent Moseley: If the TX-1 is online, it would cause the world to encrypt these transmissions. If that happens, you better find Spider-Man 'cause if I don't, I'll be coming after you and I'll be treating as that you and Spider-Man are one and the same.
Peter: Can I have my things back?
Peter: But I like taking news photos! Besides, not everybody hates Spider-Man.
Kingpin: (to FBI Agent Moseley) Follow this, you half-wits! (releases gas)
Spider-Man: (to Kingpin) Not so fast, tubby! How hard to track that flying prison of yours, Kingpin?
Kingpin: This is where you get off, Spider-Man. (pushes Spider-Man)
Spider-Man: This is the part where we get off.
Fake Agent Roberts: What are you looking at? Never seen a real life actor?
Peter: (angry) I've been scammed.
Kingpin: FBI protocol is none of your business.
Spider-Man: So, where's Agent Roberts?
Kingpin: Special Agent Roberts has important business to take rather than making hiccups.
Spider-Man: Oh, that's why you're so special.
Kingpin: You did a good service, Spider-Man.
Spider-Man: What about the half of the vigilant? I scratch yours and -- what about the world knowing what a great guy I am? Oh, give me a break.
Harry (to Peter): Dude, secret cell-phone calls, making up stories, late to class ... do we need to stage an intervention?
(Spider-Man pulls Kingpin's weapon away)
Kingpin: Not very fair, a human spider against an unarmed man.
Spider-Man: Yeah, but each of your arms is the size of Brooklyn.
Spider-Man: (to Kingpin) Will I be fighting any of your henchmen or did you already eat them?
Though the Kingpin was a major role in the Daredevil comics, and only a minor in the Spider-Man ones, he still has been in nearly every Spider-Man series to-date.
Canadian airdate: Septemeber 12, 2003.
Michael Clarke Duncan reprises his role as the Kingpin from his protrayal from the Daredevil movie.
Spider-Man: More like Turbulence.
Turbulence is about a madman who seizes control of a 747 during mid-flight and proceeds to wreak havoc.
Spider-Man: I'd love to see Black Hawk Down.
Black Hawk Down is about helicopter-borne U.S. Rangers, who were assigned to capture key lieutenants of Somali warlord Muhammad Farrah Aidid. Although, when two Black Hawk choppers were felled by rocket-propelled grenades, the U.S. soldiers were forced to fend for themselves in the battle-torn streets of Mogadishu, attacked from all sides by armed Aidid supporters.
Harry: Did they have a talking pug?
When Peter mentions men in black suits - a reference to Frank the Pug in the movie Men in Black.
