When the last Spider-Man series ended, Spiderman left to find Mary Jane. In the pilot for this Spider-Man series, which hypothetically takes place after the last series, Mary Jane is home and well. It was never explained how Spider-Man found Mary Jane or where she was.
Venom and Carnage appear in the episode. Although, if this is a sequel to the '94 Spider-Man series, then it is never explained how they escaped from the portal they were trapped in.
Spider-Man: (After knocking down Carnage and Venom) I'm impressed! Snazzy new powers, AND a new vocabulary to match!
J. Jonah Jameson: (about John Jameson) That's my son. Here that, Parker? I've always said John was a hero, haven't I?
Peter: You sure have Jonah. About 50 times in the last minute.
Guard: Stop Spider-Man, surrender!
Spider-Man: Sorry gentlemen, I don't do "surrender."
Stan Lee is not listed in the credits. Stan normally co-produces each animated series with Avi Arid.
The theme song for Spider-Man played in this episode. Meaning that this could in fact be a sequel.
This is Mary Jane's only appearance.
What is the counter earth? The Counter-Earth, is an Earth like planet in the same orbit on other side of the sun.
This and an Avengers series where both airing on the Fox Box program.
Rino Ramano takes on the role of Spiderman that was previously played by Christopher Daniel Barnes on the Spider-man series that airs on ABC family.
There were also another 5 comics, (Based on the seires) but they suffered the same fate of the series, cancelation.
This two-part episode was also released in comic book form, with the same storyline, by "Marvel Animated."
This series is most likely a continuation of the animated series, allthough this is never cleared up.
This is the only appearance of J. Jonah Jameson in Spider-Man Unlimited; Jonah is voiced by Richard Newman in this episode, but he was voice by Edward Asner in the '94 series.
We learn that Lord Tiger is the leader of the High Evolutionary group, but is not the overall leader of all the beastials.
This series has comic book-like animation, and also shows the yellow box in the corner that tells the place and sometimes time of the new scene.
There is a new opening theme and video to go with it. In it, it shows Spider-Man's origin(how he was bitten by the spider, then how he failed to act when the guy robbed the wrestling manager), then him in his original costume, then in the new one. It shows him climbing walls and fighting the High Evolutionary.
There is a new voice for Peter Parker/ Spider-Man. The voice is the same one for Bruce Wayne/ Batman in The Batman .
In the beginning of this episode they play the original '94 Spider-man opening theme.
This is episode marks the only time that the original costume is shown at the beggining, half episode later Spidey is shown in the new nano-tech costume.
This episode features references to Reed Richards, a.k.a. Mr. Fantastic (the leader of the super-hero team the Fantastic Four) and has a cameo appearance by S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Nick Fury. One of Spider-Man's classic villains from the comics, Doctor Octopus (nicknamed Doc Ock), also appears on Peter and Mary Jane's television during a news segment on Spider-Man. Doc Ock's only line of dialogue is a faint grunt when Spider-Man punches him in their brief fight.
Mary Jane has been home for a while.
If this was a sequel, then MJ had to have been home for a while, enough for him to confess his alter-ego, propose, then get an apartment.
