There appears to be more than 6 coins when Mr. Krabs threw the money onto the ground.
The episode "I Had an Accident" marks the first (and probably the only) appearance of Patrick playing a video game.
Why in this episode did he care about losing SpongeBob when in "Neptune's Spatula" he betted on Neptune?
If Mr. Krabs hated to sell free toys, then why in "Mermaid Man vs. SpongeBob" did he sell free toys?
The Dutchman gave Mr. Krabs 62 cents, and we count 6 coins in Mr. Krabs' claw. The only possible way to make 62 cents with 6 coins is to have 2 quarters, 2 nickels, and 2 pennies. However, THREE of the coins appear to be pennies (they look copper) rather than just two.
After SpongeBob was taken away, all 6 coins are turned into copper.
In reality, gorillas do no harm on anything unless attacked.
SpongeBob says that he's "never leaving his house again." If this is so, then doesn't that mean he can get up off the floor and go eat in the kitchen, and sleep in his bed and invite his friends over? Or at least call them? He didn't have to do half the things he thought he had to do.
Since trees can't breathe underwater, the tree SpongeBob runs into is seen wearing scuba gear.
In "Born Again Krabs," when the time card says "the next day" in the corners of the time card it shows SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, and Mr. Krabs.
When the paramedics were rolling Mr. Krabs into the E.R., on Krabs' shirt, one collar was white, and the other one was blue.
In "I Had An Accident," how could the ice cream that Patrick was holding melt if they were underwater?
In "I Had An Accident," SpongeBob is in his house with his three friends - the chip, penny, and the tissue. It starts out penny, tissue, chip, but the penny and chip keep switching.
When Mr. Krabs is in the Davy Jones locker, he starts crying. You can see the door of the locker is open. A few minutes later, it is closed.
In "Born Again Krabs," SpongeBob says that he has to work at the Krusty Krab only on Saturdays, but in "The Graveyard Shift," they worked for 32 days straight.
How come SpongeBob is the only one that got hurt, while Patrick also hit a mountain, and he didn't get hurt?
In other episodes, the Employee Lounge was at the right side of the counter, but when Squidward came out to talk to Mr. Krabs, he came out at the left side of the counter.
In "The Bully," when Flats the Flounder tried to punch him, he just absorbed it, so how come when SpongeBob falls off the cliff, he gets hurt?
In "I Had An Accident," when the doctor says "You're a lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky luck-boy", it is supposed to have luck boy, but in the captions, it said "lucky" instead of "luck."
When Mr. Krabs throws the coins the Flying Dutchman gave him, you could see 3 of them on the floor, but when the Flying Dutchman comes and tells his story, after he finishes, you could see the coins are gone.
Towards the end of this episode "Safety freak," when the gorilla goes on the horse and he says "Lets get out of here" he said it in an Elmer voice (Elmer from Fairly Odd Parents.)
On Mr. Krabs' bill, if you look closely, you can see the date 11-8-2001. But this episode aired in 2003.
In "Squirrel Jokes" Spongebob says he has no bones. But is he breaks his butt, that means he has bones
In the episode "Hooky", SpongeBob has to pass by Patrick and Squidward's houses to get to the Krusty Krab. Yet in "I had an accident", SpongeBob sticks the "long spatula" out of the window, and it never passes by Squidward or Patrick's homes. How strange.
In this episode you see Mr. Krabs trying to sell a mouldy old krabby patty. However, when he mistakes Spongebob's pretty patty for a mouldy patty in "Patty Hype" he immediately tries to burn it!
He didn't think it was mouldy, he thought SpongeBob tainted the patty.
When they show the family watching the show at the end of, "I Had an Accident" why does the TV have rabbit ears? Wouldn't they be watching cable, since the show airs on Nickelodeon?
In "Born Again Krabs", SpongeBob does not appear to know what a break is. But he took a break in "Hooky".
Actually, none of the three customers the next day are eating patties. Two are at an empty table and the lady has:
A drink and a Spongebob action figure (like the toys you get at McDonald's or Burger King) and is chewing... ON HER FIN!
In "I Had An Accident" when Sandy asks Spongebob how he was gonna work and he showed her the long spatula to the Krusty Krab, it shows that his house isn't far from the Krusty Krab, but in other episodes it is far.
The Flying Dutchman is much smaller now.
Sponge had extra legs because he was being Squidward.
Squid has 4 legs. Just letting you know.
How can Patrick and Sandy survive inside a bag the Gorrila put inside them inside "I Had An Accident?"
When SpongeBob bends down to pick up the patty, we see grime all over the grill, including the sides, this is never seen in other episodes or other shots in this episode
When Spongebob was doing "The Grumpy Squidward", he had 2 extra legs
On the X-Ray it showed spongebob having bones. But he said he didn't have any in "Squirrel Jokes".
When the fish doctor says"we actually ran out of staples.." the bones appear to be taped together.
The fish doctor says that his glutius maximus is all better. But that is the term for the butt muscle.
Mr. Krabs said to SpongeBob that he's not to make another patty until that patty (the rotten patty) was sold. Look closely; the next day there are people eating patties!
When the woman asks for a new krabby patty, the lettuce is on top of the bun, but when SpongeBob shows the woman the company policy on the patty, the lettuce is under the patty.
When Patrick and Sandy bring SpongeBob the cake, there was a window on the bottom of his house. This window doesn't appear in any other episode.
Squidward: (about the Krabby Patty made with the moldy patty) Uh, SpongeBob, can I get one with less...fog?
Fish: Hey look, a penny, it must be my lucky day!
Mr. Krabs: (gripping the fishes arm) Your luck just ran out!
Mr. Krabs: We haven't had a customer in weeks.... Maybe it's the new place mats...
SpongeBob: (singing) I know of a place...where you never get harmed...a magical place...with magical charms...Indoors! Indoors! IIIINNNNDOOOOORS! (song ends) Take it away, Penny! (close-up and long pause on Penny)
Patrick: (crying) That Penny has the most beautiful voice...
SpongeBob: Sandy, you were right. I'm not afraid to go outside anymore. (Eyes shorten) But I am terrified of gorillas now.
Sandy: That's OK, SpongeBob, us too.
(after SpongeBob vows never to leave his house again)
Patrick: I guess I'll have to find a new best friend. Hey, Squidward!
Squidward: No!
Patrick: Darn.
Sandy: Don't worry, Patrick. We'll show SpongeBob there's nothing to be afraid of.
Patrick: (wearing a boxing glove) And that's when I punch him, right?
(Sandy frowns)
(after SpongeBob fell on his bottom and shattered it)
Sandy: Oooh... that's gotta hurt.
Patrick: (who hadn't been looking at SpongeBob right as he hit the ground) Do it again. I wasn't looking.
Sandy: SpongeBob, land on your bottom. It will impact the blow.
(SpongeBob takes off his pants)
Patrick: No, your other bottom.
Sandy: (to Patrick) Don't you have to be stupid somewhere else?
Patrick: Not until 4.
Mr. Krabs: I'm not cheap! i'm generous!
Squidward: You almost tore a guy's arm off for a penny.
Mr. Krabs: Thanks, Squidward, I knew I could count on you.
Doctor: Well, it looks like your gluteus maximus has made a full recovery.
SpongeBob: My what has a what now?
Doctor: You're butt's all better. It's really quite amazing. It took twenty hours to putt it all back together. We actually ran out of staples and had to use glue stick. Yep, you're a lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky luck-boy. But from now on, I'd like you to be more careful. One more injury like that and you could wind up like that poor creature there with the iron butt.
Fish with iron butt: Oh man, it itches!
Mr. Krabs: I don't want this foul money. I want Spongebob back.
Flying Dutchman: (appears with Spongebob) Here, you can have him.
Mr. Krabs: You heard what I said about the money?
Flying Dutchman: Heard what you said; I couldn't hear myself thinking with this one around. I only had him for 30 seconds. It was all jellyfishing this Mermaid Man that. Why, not giving him back would be a fate worse than death!
Mr. Krabs: SpongeBob, bring me that patty.
(SpongeBob holds up a cage containing the bad patty.)
Mr. Krabs: Uh, SpongeBob, why's that patty inside a cage?
SpongeBob: It growled at me, sir.
(EMTs are wheeling Mr. Krabs into the hospital)
Mr. Krabs: SpongeBob!
SpongeBob: Yes, Mr. Krabs.
Mr. Krabs: Make sure you wrap up that patty-
I'm not finished with it yet!
Sandy: That's it, Squarepants! We're going to find something so dang fun, that you'll have to come outside.
Sandy: Trampolines!
Patrick: Ice cream!
Sandy: Underwater surfing!
Patrick: Two ice creams!
Sandy: Ferris Wheels!
Patrick: Still two ice creams!
Sandy: Clam wrestling!
Patrick: Washing an old person!
Sandy: Patrick, that ain't fun.
Old Guy: It is for me.
Patrick: (holding Gameboy and sandboarding simultaneously) Aw, man! I got dead again! This game stinks! (flies off the cliff and crashes)
SpongeBob: (after SpongeBob finds an old Krabby Patty under the grill and throws it out) It's old and cold and... so covered in mold!
Mr. Krabs: And ya won't make another till that one is SOLD!
Squidward: Here you go, sir. One Krabby Patty.
(after the customer who ordered a Krabby Patty sees a moldy one, he screams and does backflips out the restaurant)
Sandy: See? That's why you should always pay attention to the mountain.
SpongeBob: I'm listening to you, mountain!
SpongeBob: Don't eat the yellow sand, Patrick.
Patrick: (eating yellow sand) Oh, yeah, I forgot.
Fish #1: Hey, SpongeBob!
SpongeBob: Aaaah!
Fish #1: You gotta check this out! We finally got enough people for a 7 mile spanking machine! Ow! Ow! Ow!
SpongeBob: Aaaah! (runs away)
Squidward: Is this where the line starts?
SpongeBob: In fact let's sing our own song about the safety of the indoors. (singing) I know of a place, where you never get harmed. A magical place, with magical charms. Indoors. Indoors! I-hin-doors!! (stops singing) Take it away penny!
Patrick: (teary) That penny has the most beautiful voice.
Sandy: All by yourself? Ain't ya gonna get lonesome?
SpongeBob: I'm not lonesome. I have all the friends I need right here. This is penny, and chip, and say hello to used napkin!
Young Fish: Hey, thanks! Mr. Krabs I always thought you were a cheap tightwad!
Mr. Krabs: I was, son, I was!
Mr. Krabs: See, good enough to eat. (is about to take a bite of the patty and it cuts off to show an ambulance driving by) Oh, look, an ambulance. (takes a bit of the patty and ends up in the hospital)
SpongeBob: What is a gorilla doing underwater anyways?
Gorilla: Well you see, uh... George they're onto us!!
(SpongeBob is sandboarding)
SpongeBob: Hey, Sandy! Watch me do the Grouchy Squidward!
Squidward: Stop naming moves after me!
(SpongeBob looks like Squidward, he even has four legs)
SpongeBob: (sounding like Squidward) Everyone's an idiot except for me.
Squidward: Well, it's true.
At the end of I Had An Accident when we see the live-action family watching the show, the mother is played by Jill Talley, Tom Kenny's wife, in a cameo appearance.
This is the first time we see Sandy jellyfishing.
We learn that inside Davy Jones' Locker there are smelly socks.
Mr. Krabs doesn't appear in "I Had An Accident."
Squidward makes a cameo appearance in "I Had An Accident."
The Flying Dutchman doesn't appear in "I Had An Accident."
Patrick doesn't appear in "Born Again Krabs".
This is the first time in the series that we see Davy Jones' Locker.
The Flying Dutchman traded Mr. Krabs $0.62 for SpongeBob's soul, and he handed Mr. Krabs 6 coins. So he had to have given him 2 quarters, 2 nickels, and 2 pennies if he really gave him $0.62.
Sandy doesn't appear in "Born Again Krabs."
Plankton doesn't appear in this episode.
"I Had An Accident" is also known as "Safety Freak SpongeBob".
The song played in the episode "Safety Freak" can also be heard at the dance in the Camp Lazlo episode, "Dosey Doe."
The tree SpongeBob almost hit was a pine tree with scuba diving gear.
The activities that were done by Sandy and Patrick to lure SpongeBob out are:
Jellyfishing
Ferris wheel
Trampoline jumping
Ice cream
Underwater Surfing
2 ice creams
Still 2 ice creams
Clam wrestling
Washing an old person
The gorilla stunt
When Mr. Krabs came back, the Employee Lounge is to the left of where Spongebob and Mr. Krabs, but Squidward appears to the right.
When Sandy and Patrick bring the cake and tell Spongebob to blow out the candles, there's only 1 candle.
Right before Spongebob leaves, he calls the gorilla an ape.
on the red line underneath the teeth, when he's torn in half, it's gone from both parts.
The gorilla wouldn't fit in a Patrick suit.
This episode was released on DVD months before it aired on Nickelodeon.
In the episode "Born Again Krabs", Mr. Krabs wouldn't let anyone throw out the spoiled patty, but in the episode "Patty Hype" Mr. Krabs thinks the green patty is spoiled and he immediately torches it with a flamethrower.
DVDs these episodes are on:
Both of them are on "Tales of the Deep".
The gorilla is basically a man in a rubber gorilla suit.
The ending of, "I Had an Accident" sounds so similar to the Mickey Mouse cartoon, "The Brave Little Tailor."
When Patrick played his Game Boy, and his character died, it said "DEAD" the screen. After Patrick lost, he broke into pieces and the "DEAD" thing appeared again.
Hell and Satan in SBSP are Davy Jones' Locker and The Flying Dutchman.
SpongeBob's indoor friends: Chip, Penny, and Used-napkin.
This is one of the rare (possibly only) episode(s) where Spongebob relates himself to acrual sponges (filter-feeding, etc.)
This aired during Nickelodeon's "Let's Just Play!"
The Flying Dutchman is like the Grim Reaper because he told Mr. Krabs that he would go to Davy Jones' Locker. (Hell)
Was going to air July 7th but was postponed.
Mr. Krabs is called Eugene 4 times in this episode: once by the Flying Dutchman, once by himself, and twice by Squidward.
The way how the gorilla beat up Patrick and Sandy is like the way how Jason beat up a girl in a sack in Friday The 13th.
The scene where it shows what's inside the Krusty Krab, there is a sign that says "Celebrate Good Times." This is a lyric to Kool and the Gang's "Celebrate Good Times."
"The Iron Butt" is a reference to the Iron Lung.
Mr. Krabs: Eating the Spoiled Patty When Told Not To
The part when Mr. Krabs gets told not to eat the spoiled patty and does so anyway and has to go to the hospital sounds similar to the book, "The Peanut Butter Jam" by Elizabeth Sussman Nassau in which Sam, a boy with a peanut allergy ignores his doctor's warnings not to touch peanut butter, touches some and has to go to the hospital.
In "Born Again Krabs," the part with Mr. Krabs eating the patty is sort of like the show "Teen Angel," where a boy eats a six month old burger, dies, and comes back as his best friend's guardian angel.
