  • Interesting Special

    9.5
I think that Friend or Foe was very interesting because it shows us that Mr. Krabs and Plankton used to be friends and how they became enemies. There were also hilarious parts such as Old Man Jenkins ripping off Mr. Krabs's clothes. I did not mind the Patchy scenes at all either. In fact, I thought it was funny when Potty kept insulting Patchy's cooking, but it was a bit sad when they quit being friends. This special is underrated, as it is not mentioned a whole lot but I can assure that it is not infamous either. I recommend this special to anyone, even if you are a post-movie hater or hate SpongeBob period. "Friend or Foe" will have post-movie haters saying, "I guess not every post-movie SpongeBob episode is bad after I give this special a 9.5/10!moreless
  • Best Season 5 episode

    7.5
This is my second-favorite modern special after "It's a SpongeBob Christmas!". It holds a very interesting backstory between Mr Krabs and Plankton, and it's very fun to watch. It actually gives some depth. There may be a few flaws, and not all the jokes hit a bullseye, but it's still very good.
  • The episode where I started liking Plankton

    6.0
As soon as I saw this, I started liking Plankton. I mean, Plankton and Mr. Krabs are both greedy and selfish, and now I think that Plankton deserves the formula. Plankton has been trying to get it all this time and he never will. I think the plot was ok but I hate all the Patchy parts and the ending. The ending dropped this from a 10 to an 8, and the Patchy parts made it a 6. This was an ok episode of Season 5.moreless
  • Agree with fsaenz0125, jmbsonic555, and marebear2009.

    8.5
It was great to finally find out the origins of Plankton and Mr. Krabs's rivalry. The only thing wrong with this episode in my opinion is the Pachy parts. Those are always pointless and annoying. They're really just filer. Other than that, great episode. 8.75/10 would be 9.75 without the Pachy parts.
  • Story of how Mr. Krabs and Plankton were friends until they became enemies

    10
Plankton and Mr. Krabs have been enemies for a long time. However, Mr. Krabs reveals that they were not always this way and that they used to be friends. He then explains of how that all changed. Then Plankton tells his side of the story as well, and Karen reveals they are both lying and gives the true story of the feud that led to hatred. I thought this was an excellent special. It is the fifth season's best special next to Pest of the West. I liked the idea of how Mr. Krabs and Plankton used to be friends (form birth) until their foods lead them into enemies. First, I'm gonna to talk about the scenes with Patchy. They were all pretty much hilarious here like the patties Patchy made, SpongeBob's first patty, Patchy shooting the burgers at Potty (eventually at his boss), etc. As for the cartoon scenes, I laughed at some parts like the cake thing which is bought by Plankton, Plankton trying to make a science experiment (and it blows), Stinky quitting the job, Mr. Krabs and Plankton fighting about the recipe (this is where Plankton knows about selling chum), and a couple more parts. Overall an excellent special. 10/10moreless
