  • Mr. Krabs' grandfather comes to visit

    8.5
My thoughts: I liked this SpongeBob episode. The story was creative, the humor was there as always, and there are a few duds from giving it a 10.

STORY: I sort like pirated themed episode so the rating is not a surprise. 10/10

WRITING: It's lazy sometimes, but it still good. 7.5/10

HUMOR: The way Krabs' grandpa write in his letter (Ahoy Yoo Jeen), "Swarly, Oh, I mean shiver me Squidward as a big octopus, and the last part of the episode. 7/10

    ANIMATION: 7.5/10

VOICE ACTiNG: I liked Dennis Quiad's role as the titular character.

FLAWS: It could have been better in some parts. There were some parts that were meh such as Pearl's appearance. Also, there's lying so Krabs have to lie that is not really a pirate which was disappointing, thought it was a little funny.

    SCORE: 8.5/10moreless
  • Dennis Quaid voices as Grandpa Redbeard in the "SpongeBob SquarePants" episode "Grandpappy the Pirate"

    8.5
I thought that this was a great episode of "SpongeBob SquarePants". It wasn't as good as "Cephalopod Lodge" but it was still a great episode. I love that Dennis Quaid guest starred in this episode as the voice of Grandpa Redbeard (Mr. Krabs' grandfather). I loved the introduction of Mr. Krabs' grandfather in this episode and I thought that he was a very funny character. It was funny that Mr. Krabs turned the Krusty Krab into a ship to impress his grandfather. It thought it was funny when Mr. Krabs used the projector to show an octopus to pretend that he was fighting the octopus to impress his grandfather. I thought Patrick spitting out water as if it was ocean water was funny. It was also funny when Squidward inflated himself for Mr. Krabs. I thought it was hilarious when Mr. Krabs confessed to his grandfather and told him that the ship is a lie and Mr. Krabs was destroying the ship and turned it back into the Krusty Krab. It was very heartwarming when Grandpa Redbeard told Mr. Krabs that he was proud of him for being the manager of the Krusty Krab and then they hugged. The ending was also funny when Grandpa Redbeard took Mr. Krabs' money and then Mr. Krabs said "I knew I got my talent from someone". My score was just a little low because there were some scenes that are boring and kind of dragged. Overall, this was a great episode of "SpongeBob SquarePants". 8.5/10

  • Soooo.....isn't Spongebob supposed to be entertaining?

    4.0
I just watched this episode and just like every other Spongebob episode that has been made past the third season, it sucked. Spongebob was once a really good show. I remember when the character of Spongebob was funny, likable, and not so obnoxious. I remember when Patrick was the same way. I remember when every character was somewhat different than they are now. What happpened to the classic Spongebob that I actually liked? What happened to all of the Spongebob characters? Why are they so UN-likable and obnoxious now? This episode was very boring and stupid. Do not watch it. In fact, do your self a favor and do not watch any of the Spongebob episodes past the third season.moreless
  • Just stop already!!!!

    1.0
Ok, i know that spongebob has been going down hill for years (thumbs down all you want but when you compare the suck fest that is the recent episodes to the old ones you see a very distinct difference) but come on, enough is enough. Now, i am not the type of person to go around to shows and point out inconsistencies, but when a show blindly just slaps on episodes that completely contradict a whole season or two i get angry. Ok, so we learn that Mr. Krabs is a pirate, ok cool who doesn't love pirates right? and apparently his whole family are pirates ok still cool what could possibly be the.......oh wait a minuet............wasn't mr crabs in the navy?!?!?! Huh! weird!!!! i mean how does that even work???? you cant exactly be a pirate and in the navy it just doesnt work....i mean we have a whole string full of episodes where Mr. crabs makes a reference to his navy days and even an episode where their is a reunion!!! This show has definitely lost its gusto, i could go on and on about how much the show has changed from witty humor to unwatchable goof fest but there just isnt enough space to write it all. The characters have changed too, where is the sponge we fell in love with all those years ago?? it certainly wasnt the weak annoying coral brain we see today. oh and we dont even see sandy!! anyway i digress this is suppose to be about tis episode....yeah..dont watch it, or any of seasons 4-now. stick to the origional 3!!!!!!moreless
