Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy IV:
Mermaid Man drops his belt and SpongeBob finds it and tries to return it. But then a little mishap happens. He has shrunken all of Bikini Bottom, including Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy. And then he shrinks himself and shrinks Bikini Bottom, and then Plankton comes back and is bigger than everybody.

Doing Time:
Mrs. Puff is driving with SpongeBob once again. SpongeBob slams into a shipment of juice to the senior home. The cops arrest Mrs. Puff, thinking she did it. After this, Patrick and SpongeBob go to great lengths to try to break her out of jail.moreless

    MM and BB IV: This is just a mediocre episode of SpongeBob. Not only that, but it's the weakest Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy episode I've ever seen (my second weakest would be season 5's Mermaid Man vs SpongeBob). I'll just get to funny parts and then the parts on why I didn't like this one very much. I laughed pretty much most of the first few minutes (Barnacle and Squidward fighting about their noses, SpongeBob trying to get autograph, SpongeBob messing with the shrink ray before it's got out of hand). After that, it's sucked and I didn't like Squidward threatening to tell Mermaid Man. The next 6 minutes was a waste of time as well when SpongeBob got all shrunk. I didn't like everyone cutting off SpongeBob's body because of that. But I did like that he turns everything back to normal expect Plankton is larger (funniest part of the episode). Overall, a mediocre episode for MM and BB standards. 5/10



    Doing Time: This was better than the first pair but it's still got the problems. A few parts are boring and it was never my favorite storyline. There were funny parts like SpongeBob destroying everything at Bikini Bottom (although I'm surprised the episode already started with that), the fruit punch coming out of the retirement home, everything that SpongeBob and Patrick did to get Mrs. Puff back (funniest was SpongeBob as the robber), and a few more. Overall, a great episode and way better MM and BB IV. 8/10moreless

    MermaidMan and BarnacleBoy IV: I thought that this was just an okay episode of "SpongeBob SquarePants". It wasn't Season 3's best episode but it was just alright... nothing special though. BarnacleBoy and Squidward calling each other big nose when they both have the same exact big nose was very funny. SpongeBob getting excited about seeing MermaidMan and BarnacleBoy in the beginning of the episode was pretty funny as well. Patrick using Squidward as an action figure was hilarious. Plankton's cameo appearance at the end of the episode was also funny. The rest of the episode didn't really make laugh and it was just okay. I just didn't like the gross humor with SpongeBob using MermaidMan's belt and he is cutting Squidward and all those gross things to Squidward. I also hated how everyone in Bikini Bottom went inside SpongeBob just to hurt him. Overall, this episode was just okay but not the best episode of Season 3. 6/10



    Doing Time: I thought that this was a superb episode of "SpongeBob SquarePants". It wasn't my favorite episode and it was boring in a few parts but it most certainly is better than the first pairing for sure. The plot was mostly intesting. Kinda low on laughs but it was pretty interesting. SpongeBob and Patrick disguising as rocks and then getting broken was hilarious. The police thinking that SpongeBob and Patrick were "poop" was very funny. Mrs. Puff ripping off the policeman's skin was funny as well. The ending to this episode didn't make any sense to me though and it made me confused. Overall, this was a superb episode of "SpongeBob SquarePants". 9/10moreless

    You know, I'm sorry to say this, but for season 3 episodes, this pairing wasn't very good. I think I only liked two parts out of MM and BB IV, Patrick's scene with the "wumbo" joke and the very end when Plankton came back from his vacation to see that Bikini Bottom was small. The thing I disliked most about this episode was the fact that there was too much gross-out bodily humor, such as miniature Squidward being cut in half with scissors and all the townspeople going inside Spongebob and cutting up his veins and beating on his internal organs and stuff. EEEEEWWWWWW! Doing Time was better than its partner, but it still wasn't a great episode. There were a couple scenes I found funny such as Spongebob and Patrick trying to rob the bank and when we find out Mrs. Puff is having a great time in jail. The episode overall, was very weird and it had a very confusing ending. Overall, these were, unfortunately, below average episodes, but Doing Time is much better than MM and BB IV.     • Since no one returned to normal size by the end of this episode, everyone is small in every episode after this one.

    • When Patrick is changing the "M" on Mermaid Man's belt to "W," SpongeBob's face holes disappear.

    • When SpongeBob was running towards Patrick on the looks for advice on "Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy IV," he's wearing his regular pants instead of Mermaid Man's belt.

    • When SpongeBob is speeding past the patrol officers, they choose to chase him for he had no front license plate, instead of because he was speeding.

    • Shouldn't SpongeBob have died when one of the citizens of Bikini Bottom cut off one of his organs?

    • When the citizens of Bikini Bottom attack SpongeBob in "Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy IV," he had a backbone, but SpongeBob is an invertebrate as admitted in "Squirrel Jokes."

    • When Patrick held Squidward, he appeared to be thinner than usual.

    • When SpongeBob shrunk the city, it seemed a lot smaller than usual.

    • If everyone shrunk to the size of pickles, then how could Plankton be taller than the tallest buildings?

    • The size of the citizens changed throughout the episode. First, they were the size of the pickles, then they were the size of Plankton, and then everyone was the size of dust.

    • When SpongeBob shrunk Squidward, his cap was on, but in the next scene, it was gone.

    • Sponges don't have internal organs.

    • Mermaid Man's belt is purple in the episode. In other episodes, it's yellow and black.

    • When Plankton returns from vacation at the end, the bus Plankton got off of was the only road you could see in that scene. When SpongeBob shrunk the town, you can see no roads in the town.

    • In "Doing Time", when the guard throws Mrs. Puff in the yellow room, there's a rubber ducky. When Spongebob starts laughing, you can see that the ducky disappears.

    • Look Hard: In the scene where Patrick tells SpongeBob the way to return Squidward to normal, Patrick said to switch the M to W. But when SpongeBob activated the ray, the W was back to an M. Which probably explains why the town did not return to normal.

    • Scooter appears in this episode, even though he died in "Bubble Buddy".

    • Spongebob can't get the citizens of Bikini Bottom to grow back to normal, but in "Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy I" Spongebob mentions a ray that made stuff grow 6 times there size. Why couldn't Mermaid Man (or Barnacle Boy) use this to make everyone grow back to normal?

    • Response to the parking meter goof: It's not a goof. I also have quoted proof, too:

      Cop: This'll fix ya!
      (When they're finished fixing that parking meter...)
      Cop: Now let's get that one!

      They were actually FIXING the parking meters, not wrecking them.

    • Reply to the Unfinished Bridge goof: Comedy, people. Comedy.

    • Response to the first one: Mermaid Man is an idiot, so he wouldn't know that setting it to wumbo wouldn't work!

    • How could Mrs. Puff have fallen asleep in the car if she was screaming like mad? And how could she have had a fantasy if she was screaming like mad as well?

    • In Doing Time when Mrs. Puff was first put in jail she had only one bed in her cell but later on she has two.

    • In Doing Time at the end when she was in the car with Donna, at first when you see a wider view of the car there was only Mrs. Puff in the car.

    • In MM+BB 4 if you see the boat mobile when they hit the car alarm it looks like a 1959 Caddilac Elderado but in MM+BB 1 and 3 it looks like a regular boat.

    • In the episode Doing Time, when Mrs. Puff says "Yeah, it must be the heat." her hat turns blue for a second.

    • At the end of "MM & BB IV" where is MM's belt?

    • NO, he told him to turn it to wombo, but he never did because 1 second later it is set to M (for mini)

    • Doesn't Donna want her chili when Mrs. Puff is on Kitchen Duty?

    • In "Doing Time" when Mrs. Puff drinking the water her hat turns black instead of the normal red.

    • Spongebob and Patrick were smaller than normal when they were in the Chili barrel.

    • Do you notice how when spongebob first starts to shrink the people, they're about the says of a baby doll, but then the whole town is small enough to fit in a jar, and then they get even smaller because Plankton is about the size of the size they were when they were in the jar and he is bigger than the town?

    • In doing time, when Mrs. Puff and Spongebob fell onto the truck the second time, the other boats fell and their boat wasn't there anymore.
