  • So-so episode

    3.5
I know that a lot of people hate this episode. I saw it again today and thought it was OK. But it's true Mr. Krabs acted like that penny was worth a million bucks. And why couldn't SpongeBob have just given Mr. Krabs the 500 dollar bill? That's 5,000 pennies right there. This episode airs with Nautical Novice, which I also give 5.5.

UPDATE ON FEBRUARY 2 (originally posted last year on November 28): Nick has an upcoming show called Breadwinners that airs in 20 days. Today I found the pilot on YouTube and showed it to my family. EVERYONE HATED IT! They all said it was the worst thing they'd seen in their lives. And that includes The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure (2012), Spider's Web: A Pig's Tale (2006), and Rabbids Invasion. So I won't be surprised when Breadwinners gets a 1.9 just like Marvin Marvin here at and Spider's Web: A Pig's Tale at IMDb. My Aunt said I should rate it as low as possible just to get the score down. Unfortunately, the lowest one can rate is 1, unless you are a prolific author. I have been working on that for months (6 plus months), so I can rate stuff like Marvin Marvin, Fred: The Show, and The Oogieloves a 0.0. Breadwinners is next on my "to rate 0.0 once I can" list.

UPDATE ON FEBRUARY 18: Breadwinners premiered yesterday. I have reviewed it. It's bad but not as bad as Sanjay and Craig.

UPDATE ON AUGUST 16: You know what, I decided I should lower this score. I just saw this again today at 9:30PM and decided it wasn't that good. Like other people said, Mr. Krabs went crazy over ONE PENNY. But this is still not the worst episode for me. That would have to be The Battle of Bikini Bottom. And I'm glad to see Oldnickolodeon34 review this episode. To Oldnickolodeon34: could you review Liv and Maddie next? And it was great to see a rating for The Fox and the Hound! But what about other great Disney movies? Like Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, or Aladdin? Another thing: I'm still waiting for this site to have a profile for the new Nick show Henry Danger. I want to review it even though I missed the last 15-20 minutes of it. When do you think it will get a profile? I plan to give it a 3.5, just like this episode and the Breadwinners episode Love Loaf.moreless
  • Yet another reason why Mr. Krabs is the most hated character in the new seasons, I consider this to be one of the worst episodes of all time.

    1.0
If you wonder why Mr. Krabs is the most hated character by Spongebob fans, you'll get an answer by watching this episode. The episode begins with Mr. Krabs purchasing items at the grocery store and he looks out the window and sees Spongebob messing around with a penny, Spongebob then decides to pick it up and keep it. Mr. Krabs then tries to get the penny back from Spongebob and goes out of his way all for a penny. To recieve the penny from him, he redecorates the resturant as a charity that only needs one penny, establishes a new movie theather, demolishes it, and uses a metal detector. At the end of the episode, it turns out the "penny" was just a piece of gum. This episode was utterly stupid and pointless. We all know Mr. Krabs likes money, but he took his addiction for money way to seriously in this episode, and it's just further proof that he's cheap. I still can't believe he went out of his way all for a penny, it's not the biggest amount of money you can own. The ending was pointless because Mr. Krabs went crazy for a penny that turned out to be a piece of gum. If you ever come across this episode, avoid it at all costs. Final grade: 0.0/10moreless

You know, there was a time where Mr. Krabs' money obsession was actually this, it's just sad.

Mr. Krabs sees Spongebob supposedly pick up a penny on the street, and he is obsessed with that HUGE amount of money being swindled am not kidding when I write he is having HALLUCINATIONS about the on,Mr. Krabs, it is a what I gather, you have at least 10 thousand dollars. Why would you be obsessed with a penny?Mr. Krabs decides it's too much, and decides to steal the penny with his that's just it for the rest of the just Eugene trying to steal the a new when Eugene has to-get this-BREAK AND ENTER IN A KIDS' SHOW,we're not evactly Spongebob finds him in his own home and explains that the penny was just a wad of WHAT THE ENTIRE EPISODE WAS BUILDING UP TO. That is just so anticlimactic and STUPID that I feel like the creators just gave up because they couldn't find a good ending.

Creator 1: Hmm, hey dude, how should I end the episode?

Creator 2: What've you got so far?

#1: Well, Spongebob found Mr. Krabs is inside his house,so Mr. Krabs breaks down and explains how he wanted the penny.

#2: Make the penny a wad of gum.

#1: How does that satisfy the audience?

    #2: It does not.

    #1: . . .Alright.

So at the end, Spongebob finds out the gum was actually a $500 throws it FOUND A DOLLAR THAT CAN BUY YOU MANY THINGS WITH AND YOU VALUE GUM MORE?!?!!??!?!!?!!?!?!

    SAD.

  • Wow Mr. Krabs

    1.0
They have taken Mr. Krab's character way too far in this episode. He spent more on trying to get the penny than how much the penny is actually worth. Mr. Krabs wouldn't do it in old seasons. This episode gets a 1.
  • This is Mr. Krabs in a whole new level.

    6.0
I do not hate this episode, but it is certainly not great. Why, you ask? Well, it is indeed kind of obvious. Mr. Krabs finds SpongeBob SquarePants picking up a "penny" (500 dollar bill, I believe) on the ground, and Mr. Krabs goes crazy trying to re-retrieve it. He hallucinates everything as a penny, and tries to get SpongeBob to give the "penny" to him. Mr. Krabs tries and tries, but SpongeBob thinks it's just a piece of gum he found on the ground. Who picks that up? He went so far, that he bought a metal detector and shovel just to dig around SpongeBob's house until he finds that penny. I will admit, NOBODY I have ever heard of has ever done that just to get a single penny. Overall, I was quite disappointed with this episode, because Mr. Krabs was never like this in Season 1-3. He would just walk away and pretend nothing happened. So that is why I give it my rare rating of a 6.moreless
