  • Somewhat great but it kind of dragged in some scenes

    "Great"
I thought that this was a great episode of "SpongeBob SquarePants". This wasn't my favorite episode from this cartoon but it was overall great even though some of the scenes just kind of dragged. I thought SpongeBob and Patrick watching the news before going jellyfishing was very funny. The scene that was annoying me alot was when SpongeBob kept saying "hot cocoa, playing tic tac toe, jigsaw puzzles, etc." for 30 seconds long and it seemed like it was endless to me. It was funny when Patrick spit out SpongeBob's hot cocoa and then said "SpongeBob... I never realized how delicious your hot cocoa is". It was so hilarious when Squidward won tic tac toe and then SpongeBob and Patrick were looking at the rules and then told Squidward that he didn't cheat and he won fairly. It was funny when Patrick couldn't figure out the last puzzle piece and he turns old. The very ending was also funny when Squidward run out of SpongeBob's house and then fell down because SpongeBob's house is on top of the tornado. The scenes that kind of dragged were when SpongeBob kept saying the same thing for 30 seconds long (which I just mentioned earlier in my review), SpongeBob and Patrick were a little too loud and annoying in this episode, and when SpongeBob, Patrick, and Squidward would act like monkeys when all of the food in SpongeBob's refrigerator were gone. Overall, this episode was somewhat great but some scenes could have improved a little more. 8/10moreless

  • That's just Patrick, gnawing on his can

Wow. I think this is where Spongebob started to pick up it's episode quality. There were a few good episodes before this one(Sand Castles in The Sand, Toy store of Doom, Komputer Overload, Spongebob Vs. the Big one) But I think Pineapple Fever is when Spongebob started to return to it's old classic feel since the middle of season 4. I loved the beggining when Spongebob and Patrick were watching the news. The warning for the storm was great(Panicking is not advised but is reccomended)or something like that. Then Squidward joins Sponge and Pat on their waiting out the storm. This episode kinda reminds me of the Camping Episode, but is nowwhere as great. I think after this episode is when Spongebob started to become not the okay show from seasons 5 and 6, but the awesome humorous show from seasons 1,2,3 and now season 7. Keep it up! However, some episodes in season 7 aren't as great( Growth Spout, Squid's Visit) but i'll review those another day.moreless

So, it starts with SpongeBob smiling at his house. Then he sees Patrick with his double jellyfish net and they find out that there is a terrible storm. Squidward suddenly appears in SpongeBob's house.

Now here's the part that made the score from 8 to 6.3:

When SpongeBob said "C'mon Squidward, it'll be fun! While the elements rage outside, we'll snuggle in here and pass the time by playing board games, and playing tic-tac-toe, and drinkin' hot cocoa, and playing tic-tac-toe, and doing jigsaw puzzles, and watchin' TV, and playin' board games, and drinkin' hot cocoa, and doing jigsaw puzzles, and playin' board games, and drinkin' hot teeeeea- ".

and also "Hot cocoa! We'll be drinking!".

    "Perfect"
At last, an episode with a touch of the zany wit the older seasons had! There's a storm coming, so Spongebob and Patrick board up the doors and windows to protect them. Of course, Squidward gets involved and Spongebob tries to get him to stay too. Squidward refuses but the storm strikes just as he's leaving and now he's stuck! Will Squidward survive Spongebob and Patrick's company until the storm's over? Of course not! Hilarity ensues as Squidward gets fed up and draws a "boundary line" by Spongebob's bedroom so that he can be alone. Unfortunately, he forgot that there's no fridge nearby and he's hungry. Spongebob is now "guarding" the boundary line and Squidward tries to cross it with no success. Aching with hunger, Squidward shoves his way through and everyone begins acting like primates as they go crazy over Spongebob's food!
There are some great moments here, such as when Patrick spits out his hot cocoa and exclaims how delicious it is. I loved the cavemen behaviour as they destroy Spongebob's house. Even the ending was decent-at the expense of Squidward, of course!

Overall, a great episode worth watching again.moreless
