  • Both were bad. Particularly The Smoking Peanut.

Pressure: This one wasn't terrible, but it sucked a little. I do not like episodes like these, they're boring and bad to watch. Seasons 1 and 2 were slightly crammed with boring jokes, while Season 3 on the other hand had much better jokes. But remember Spongebob, never give up! Nah, actually just give up now, your episodes are getting worse and worse. 3/10

The Smoking Peanut: One of the absolute worst Spongebob episodes ever. Do NOT watch this episode, it is terrible. An abomination. A terrible abomination all at once. Season 2 does have some bad episodes, luckily this was one of the last of them. 0/10moreless
  • A clever title goes here

Pressure and The Smoking Peanut (both aired on 3/08/2001)

    Pressure: 7.4/10

    The Smoking Peanut: 6.2/10

(The reason that The Smoking Peanut is quite low is because it does not have a very good plot and it's a bit boring)

And why am i the only one who likes Pressure
  • Pressure was alright while Smoking Peanut was excellent

Pressure: This episode was alright. The plot was lacking and it wasn;t really my favorite. I did like that SpongeBob and Sandy race each other to the Krusty Krab. I laughed when SpongeBob, Patrick, Squideard, and Krabs were doing some stuffs but I didn't like it when they laughed at Sandy. Now the boring parts came in. Although I did like the secene when they were in land. Overall an okay episode. 6/10

Smoking Peanut: This episode was better than Pressure. It has a nice and funny storyline. I laughed at SpongeBob throwing a peanut at Clamu, then she starts a rampage, Patrick's part, Mr. Krabs' part, and a few more. No problems at all, so an excellent episode. 10/10moreless

What I liked (Pressure)- how each of them looked above water, Spongebob and Sandy both cheating in one of the events (Spongebob to the race to the Krusty Krab, Sandy to the top of the mountain), amongst other things.

What I liked (The Smoking Peanut)- the announcer guy telling everyone to scream and run around in circles, Patrick's line after being arrested, "But it's free day!"

Both good episodes, Pressure probably had a better plot, but Smoking Peanut was hilarious. A- or so is going to be my final grade for these twomoreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (28)

    • The pickle jar should have been manufactured underwater. Keeping this in mind, when Sandy got the pickle jar, she would have had to unscrew the cap. As a result, two things are possible. A) There was already water in it. Even if there wasn't, and it was manufactured on land; B) When the pickle was unscrewed, water would have immediately piled in because they are all surrounded by water. Technically, Sandy shouldn't have been able to breathe.

    • The four were able to live on land, which was the bet. Sandy could not live underwater because she could not breathe. Technically, they still won the bet because they could last on the surface; if they didn't approach the pigeon they could have stayed there for a few more minutes based on what we saw.

    • When Mr. Krabs gets hit by peanuts they only come from one place, where there was a stadium of people with peanuts.

    • Why is the puppet version of Sandy still wearing her helmet? She's on land, so the helmet should have been off.

    • At the end of "The Smoking Peanut," Mr. Krabs complains "But it's free day!" However, the closed-captions read "But it's pretty!"

    • Look Closely: When Mr. Krabs goes up on land, you can see eyes and a smile on Mr. Krabs.

    • At the end of "Pressure," when they did their three cheers, look closely at Squidward on the second cheer, his mouth moved.

    • Goof: In "The Smoking Peanut", during the shot of Patrick and SpongeBob looking at Clamu, a brown door can be seen to the left of the screen inside Clamu's pen. But when the the shot changes it disappears, and when the shot changes back it's there again.

    • Clamu makes an appearance in this episode. The "SpongeBob SquarePants: Lights, Camera, PANTS!" game for the computer reveals the correct spelling of the Clam to be CLAMU.

    • During the Smoking Peanut you see the gift shop only once when Mr. Krabs goes into it then during the rest of the episode it vanishes.

    • In the smoking Peanut when the zoo keepers burst through the doors to see what's wrong with Clamoo, they leave the doors open but in the next scene the doors are closed.

    • When Sandy came in the Krusty Krab, she ran and then we saw the register. Isn't the door supposed to be in front of the register, because it was on the side.

    • Patrick says he wants to talk to the little piece of grass, but they're underwater, so it should be kelp or seaweed.

    • Spongebob said "Sorry I made you take off your helmet." But he never actually told Sandy to take it off, she just did that on her own.

    • In "Pressure" when Sandy took off her suit and helmet, then put on the pickle jar, wouldn't there be water inside the pickle jar since they are underwater?

    • In "Pressure," after Mr. Krabs did that thing with his eyes, he says,"Everyone in my family can do that." How can Pearl do it?

Reply: Mr. Krabs must mean every "Krab" in his family can do that thing with their eyes.

    • In pressure, when they were all on land and Sandy was beating up the birds, she jumps back a second. Then when she goes back to beat them up more, you can see the persons arm who's holding the puppet.

    • The police car which takes Patrick to the Bikini Bottom Zoo so he can be tortured by the upset citizens is black and white, while in all other episodes featuring police cars, the cars are blue and white. Also the police officers are wearing totally different uniforms and wearing sunglasses unlike the usual blue and white with giant star uniforms.

    • Response to the "no cloths on land goof". It was just showing what they would look like on land or in the real world. As it shows, the "real" characters above land are not animation but puppets

    • answer to above: Sponges, like many organisms, can reproduce both sexually AND asexually! So Spongebob can have parents.

    • In the opening scene of TSP, there is a sign with arrows pointing into numerous directions. One of the arrows, for some reason, is pointing at the ground.

    • In "Reef Blower" when Squidward had no water he dried out in five seconds, but here he was okay without water for two minutes.

    • Sandy looked different on land than from Texas scenes.

    • Spongebob can reproduce by budding. (Or asexually) But Spongebob has two parents!

    • A crab can live on land. Why is Mr. Krabs so scared of air then?

    • What was up with Spongebob and friends above water? NONE OF THEM HAD PANTS OR A SHIRT ON!

    • Sandy puts a pickle jar on her head. If there was air in the jar when she opened it, (lid side down) wouldn't the pickles fall out before she put on the jar. Also, she tears off her uniform in the restaurant, but when she rescues the guys, she has it on again

    • In "Pressure," Mr. Krabs, Squidward, SpongeBob, and Patrick go on land. In the episode "Tea at the Treedome", SpongeBob goes into Sandy's treedome without a water helmet and he gets dried up. How come this didn't happen when they went on land?

  • QUOTES (19)

    • SpongeBob: We're the masters of land and sea, hey it's a local. Hi, we're from underwater. Do you know Sandy Cheeks?

    • Spongebob: No fair Sandy, you got a head start!
Sandy: Sorry Spongebob, that's the way the coral crumbles!
Spongebob: You did that on purpose!
Sandy: Yeah, but this is an accident!
(Sandy kicks off a piece of loose coral from the mountain so Spongebob would fall).
Sandy: Too bad you forgot your umbrella!
Spongebob: (In lady's voice while floating upwards with an umbrella). I didn't!

    • SpongeBob: (after he throws the peanut at Clamoo) Hey Patrick, it's waking up!
Patrick: Oh boy, did I miss it?
SpongeBob: No, the show's about to begin!

    • Patrick: I'm so close to solving this crime (gets close to Sponge's head) I can almost taste it! (licks Sponge, then it zooms out and shows that he's really licking a sponge shaped popsicle) Boy, crime fighting sure makes me hungry, and this yellow Popsicle hits the spot!

    • (Sandy ribs off her diving suit and smashes her air helmet)
      Mr. Krabs: Mother of pearl!
Squidward: How long can she stay like that?
      SpongeBob: I don't know!
      Patrick: Sandy's a girl?

    • Patrick: Hey! We are not chicken! Oh, my popcorn! (bends arms in a "wing" position, and starts bobbing for the popcorn like a chicken)

    • Spongebob: Well, have you found anything yet?
Patrick: Yes! Wait, uhh, no. But this particular grain of sand looks very suspicious, and so does this rock! And I've got a couple of questions to ask this little piece of grass.

    • Patrick: Hey, I lost my trunks!

    • Patrick: (While being arrested) Wow! You guys are good! I am the last person that I would have guessed!

    • Announcer: Attention, Clamoo is on a emotional rampage! Please scream and run around in circles! (everyone screams) Thank you for coming!

    • Patrick: ...I'd have a few choice words for him, like "you" and "are" and..."a jerk!"

    • Patrick: Where were you on the day of today?

    • Patrick: I might keep a second rock up here.

    • SpongeBob: Mother of Pearl! The oyster's a mother and that pearl is no pearl, it's an egg!

    • Spongebob: Who wouldn't hate me no mather what? (Spongebob knocks on Squidward's door) Squidward!
Squidward: Must you knock so loudly?

    • Mr. Krabs: But it's Free Day!

    • Sandy: Well, I bet you won't last one minute on my turf: dry land!
Squidward: Do we have to wear pickle jars?
(SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, Mr. Krabs laugh hysterically)

    • SpongeBob: Twithcy? Who's twitchy? I'm not twitchy! Sorry, Sandy. I have to, uh, go get my hair cut. (Runs off)
Sandy: SpongeBob doesn't have any hair. Or does he?

    • Gary: Meow.
SpongeBob: AAAUGH! No I don't know anything about the oyster!
      Gary: Meow.
SpongeBob: Defensive? I'm not being defensive! What is this twenty questions, or something!? Sheesh!
