Episode Summary

Restraining SpongeBob / Fiasco!

A fed-up Squidward resorts to legal action to keep SpongeBob away.

  • This is not only a Squidward Torture porn This is a prime example of a Patrick's a prick episodes

There are many points in Spongebob where you think that Squidward should get a restraining order. This episode does that, but in a very poor manner. The problems with this episode is that we're treated to poor Squidward's torment because the writers think it's funny. Since he's fed up with this torment Squidward get's a restraining order against Spongebob just so he can be alone. In addition, one of the big problems is that Spongebob is close to his pre movie personality in this episode which makes Squidward look like the bad guy. If they had to have Spongebob back to normal it shouldn't have been here. But the worst of the worst is the fact that the writers have to use Patrick to annoy Squidward to no end and put him through more torment. Also, shit is constantly thrown at Squidward for no reason except to solely torture him such as Sea Berry pie. A pie he's allergic to for just one scene. Why do the writers think that this is funny?moreless
  • Okay what the fuck?

This episode was meanspirited and stupid. The restraining order I get. But the more I watched, the more I hated everyone. And the ending... Patrick laughs and then foop. What in the actual fuck?
  • Another bad episode

Once again we have an episode that's just plain awful. This episode shows how low the new writers will continue to go. I agree with YellowRaven2715 and Makeavelli269, this episode is horrible. Like what YellowRaven2715 said, the episode's theme is too mature for the show, and Squidward was so selfish in this episode.

0.5/10, because Patrick was KIND OF funny (but also annoying and dumb).

UPDATE ON FEBRUARY 2 (originally posted last year on September 29): Nick has an upcoming show called Breadwinners that airs in 20 days. Today I found the pilot on YouTube and showed it to my family. EVERYONE HATED IT! They all said it was the worst thing they'd seen in their lives. And that includes The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure (2012), Spider's Web: A Pig's Tale (2006), and Rabbids Invasion. So I won't be surprised when Breadwinners gets a 1.9 just like Marvin Marvin here at and Spider's Web: A Pig's Tale at IMDb. My Aunt said I should rate it as low as possible just to get the score down. Unfortunately, the lowest one can rate is 1, unless you are a prolific author. I have been working on that for months (6 plus months), so I can rate stuff like Marvin Marvin, Fred: The Show, and The Oogieloves a 0.0. Breadwinners is next on my "to rate 0.0 once I can" list.

UPDATE ON FEBRUARY 18: Breadwinners premiered yesterday. I have reviewed it. It's bad but not as bad as Sanjay and Craig.moreless
  • Ugh...

This episode was horribly obnoxious. While I can understand why Squidward would finally want to get a restraining order against SpongeBob, when you think about it, the reason he got it in the first place wasn't even really SpongeBob's fault. Sure, SpongeBob was annoying Squidward with the empty mustard bottle, but it was Squidward himself who put his arm on the grill, causing the chain of events that got him hurt...again. At that time, SpongeBob was actually trying to warn Squidward. But that's not what makes this episode so horrible.

In my opinion, at this point, Patrick has no brain whatsoever. For some reason, his obnoxiousness went through the roof in this episode. As soon as Squidward was able to keep SpongeBob away from him, Patrick wouldn't leave him alone. While the act that made Squidward get the restraining order against SpongeBob in the first place is questionable, I could definitely see why he'd get one against Patrick at the end.

Also, what was with the random guy who came in with a "seaberry pie?" Was that the only thing the writers could come up with to develop a final straw for Squidward against Patrick?

Overall, not a good episode at all. Thumbs-down from me.moreless
  • This episode was not that good.

So, Squidward files a restraining order on SpongeBob. This episode has 2 major flaws.

1.) The episode's theme is too mature for the show

2.) Squidward was so selfish in this episode

    4.4 F+
