In "Night Light":
1) We learn that Squidward has a mirror on his bedroom ceiling.
2) When the light from SpongeBob's house shines on Squidward blindfolded eyes, it's sets them on fire, but how is this possible? They're underwater.
It is revealed in this episode that Jim has had a huge "Employee of the Month" award behind all of SpongeBob's "Employee of the Month" awards. But in "Employee of the Month", you can clearly see through the gaps between the awards that there are no pieces of the picture.
When SpongeBob makes the krabby patty, he puts a tiny heart with ketchup on it, but when the people step on it, there's tons of ketchup.
In the scene where Jim is saying something about the Employee of the Month and that SpongeBob is the new Employee of the Month, the sign says Employee of the Month. Then, in the next scene, when Mr. Krabs shatters the pieces of glass, the sign says, "Best Employee Ever."
The picture of Jim on the Best Employee Ever portrait showed what Jim looked like when he came back instead of what he used to look like when he worked there.
When Patrick went to get the big ball of light, which was the sun, he came running back with his butt on fire. But it is impossible to have your body on fire if you are underwater.
At one point in his life, Squidward had hair.
In this episode, when Mr. Krabs punches the wall making all the Employee of the Month Awards Fall, a picture of Jim is shown, but in "Employee of the Month," the Krusty Krab exploded and no shattered pieces of Jim's picture were shown.
Tom Kenny's face appeared when SpongeBob was asked to go in the cooler.
This episode marks the second time that SpongeBob was afraid of the dark. The first time was in Rock Bottom.
This is the second time SpongeBob had nightmares. It first happened in "Krab Borg."
This is the first episode to have Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy without their names in the title.
Mr. Krabs: Hey, Squidward, have you seen SpongeBob? (At that moment, a very drowsy and tired SpongeBob walks in. We see a close-up of his 5 O' clock shadow, bloodshot eyes, and droopy nose.)
Squidward: Listen, you guys. I don't care or want to know what you do in your spare time. But could you turn off all these lights?
SpongeBob: But, Squidward! Without our night lights, the creepy creatures of the dar-
Squidward: Oh, SpongeBob, there are no creepy creatures of the dark. It's all in your imagination.
SpongeBob: Is that enough light for you? (laughs)
Patrick: (his pants are on fire) TOO MUCH LIGHT!! TOO MUCH LIGHT!!
Jim: Here is one patty, the right way.
SpongeBob: What`s so great about a Jim patty anyway?
Gary: Meow.
SpongeBob: You're right, Gary! There's dark inside of me!
SpongeBob: You want to me to go in there?! (looks in the freezer and sees a ghost head)
Spongebob: Hi, I'm the new fry cook.
Jim: Oh, you made that stepped on thing, didn't you?
Mr. Krabs: Let`s cheer for the world`s greatest fry cook, SpongeBob!
SpongeBob: Me?!
Mr. Krabs: Hey, SpongeBob. Come here, and help us cheer for Jim.
Squidward: SpongeBob, what are you doing in there?
SpongeBob: Crying my eyes out.
Squidward: Well, hurry up. I gotta cry, too.
SpongeBob: Why, Squidward?
Squidward: Because when Jim leaves, I'll be stuck with you again!
SpongeBob: Don't worry, Squidward, Jim won't be leaving. I'm the one who`s leaving.
(Squidward starts dancing)
Mr. Krabs: You just don't find employees like that anymore. (laughs)
SpongeBob: Yeah, not unless you looked right in front of you!
Mr. Krabs: (gasps) You're right, boy. I appreciate you, Squidward!
Squidward: Now I feel complete.
Old Man Jenkins: Oh, I just can't decide what to order.
Squidward; You already ordered.
Old Man Jenkins: Don't rush me, young lady!
Mr. Krabs: Well, I'll be cooked in butter. It's Jim, the original fry cook.
Mr. Krabs: SpongeBob, SpongeBob! (sniffs) That smells like a resignation. (looks at the grill to see Krabby Patty with a note in it) SpongeBob's resignation! Oh, this is terrible. No one's making patties, which means I'm not making money!
Jim: Well, look on the bright side, you can give me a raise.
Jim: Hey, Mr. Krabs. You got a second?
Mr. Krabs: Anything for you, Jimmy me boy. Come a squatting lay your racket, tell me what's on your wig, Jim.
Jim: Cut the gas, Krabs, and dig this. I've been busting my kong for you. You better lay on some extra gravy or I'm gonna agitate the gravel.
Mr. Krabs: What now?
Jim: You know. Lay a patch.
Mr. Krabs: Excuse me?
Jim: Give me a raise or I'm quitting.
Mr. Krabs: A raise? (pulls out a book that says "How to Speak") Hmm. It's not in my hiptionary. Help me get with it, Shaq.
Jim: Stop talking like that.
Mr. Krabs: These sideburns aren't real. (pulls off sideburns)
Jim: I need more money in my paycheck at the end of every week. Kapeesh?
(Mr. Krabs starts laughing hysterically while Jim is heating up)
(Jim takes off his hat and leaves Mr. Krabs' office)
Squidward: (sobbing) My hair! My beautiful hair!
(SpongeBob plugs in his new night light)
SpongeBob: Now that I can see, I can sleep. (yawns, then screams) I wonder what is in my dark, scary bathroom.
SpongeBob: Excuse me, are these night lights guaranteed to keep the creepy creatures of the dark away?
Cashier: If I answer "Yes," will you leave the store sooner?
Mr. Krabs: SpongeBob! That's enough! We got 50 orders to fill. Now go in the cooler and get some fresh patties.
SpongeBob: You want me to go in there?!
(a face starts swirling in the dark cooler room)
SpongeBob: Whenever I blink, I see nothing but the darkness.
Mr. Krabs: Then don't blink.
SpongeBob: Brilliant idea, Mr. Krabs!
(SpongeBob places some French Fries in his eyes to prevent him from blinking, but they break)
