While SpongeBob was pulling the splinter out of his thumb, he accidentally removed his skin, revealing his skeleton, but sponges do not have bones.
When SpongeBob says he is ambidextrous, it doesn't even make sense because in "I Was a Teenage Gary" he says he is a lefty.
SpongeBob didn't have that much trouble going home early in Pickles.
Squidward got a splinter on "Once Bitten" and could remove it easily, while it was very hard for SpongeBob to get rid of his own splinter on this episode.
As a joke, Mr. Krabs, who is explaining what "workers' compensation" is, incorrectly says, "workman's compersation" while SpongeBob, who has never heard of that before, says it correctly.
Squidward flushes SpongeBob's hat down the toliet, but later, SpongeBob's hat is back on his head.
Look Hard: In the freezer, you can see a caveman.
SpongeBob: (waiting by the phone) Please pick up, please pick up, please pick... Patrick?
Mr. Krabs: (with two quarters stuck on his nostrils) This quarters smell sad.
SpongeBob: Buns... check!
SpongeBob: (to grill) Is it hot in here, or is it you?
SpongeBob: Ow! (his thumb swells up horrifically and grows ten times in size)
SpongeBob: W-W-W-W-What are you doing?
SpongeBob: I know, it hurts so bad.
Squidward: Yeah, when Mr. Krabs finds out, oh maaan.
Squidward: (sarcastic) Oh, yeah, that makes perfect sense. You're a half-wit who injured himself at work being a nitwit.
SpongeBob: (laughs) Good one, Squiddy.
Mr. Krabs: Put your hat on, boy! Show some company pride!
SpongeBob: Please, Squidward! Don't tell Mr. Kra-a-a-abs!
Squidward: What? Me? Tell Mr. Krabs? Oh, noooo. No, no, no no no no no. No.
Mr. Krabs: Uhh... SpongeBob?
SpongeBob: Yes?
Mr. Krabs: Have you always had 3 legs?
Patrick: I'm sure I can figure it out with my 12 years of med school.
SpongeBob: Patrick, you didn't go to med school.
SpongeBob: Patrick, this isn't helping!
Patrick: (puts SpongeBob's leg in his mouth) Hmmm... interesting.
SpongeBob: Patrick?
Peterson: (talking to Squidward) Excuse me, sir, but I ordered a couple of Krabby Patties a while ago, and I'm wondering when they'll be out.
Squidward: (plays with his tentacles) It looks like I'm crushing your face. (laughs)
Peterson: So, will they be ready soon?
Squidward: Yeah, yeah, yeah, don't move too much, it ruins it.
SpongeBob: 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1! Open for business!
Squidward: Yahoo.
SpongeBob: Oh, Mr. Krabs, Mr. Krabs, can I do it today? Can I?
Squidward: What's that?
Spongebob: What's what?
Squidward: The spatula TIED TO YOUR NOSE!!
Mr. Krabs: Too late, Squidward, your shift ended 2 minutes ago.
Patrick: (to SpongeBob) That doesn't look good.
SpongeBob: You're right, Squidward, I need help.
SpongeBob: Look, a bald eagle with a mustache.
(SpongeBob takes the note off his hat)
SpongeBob: (reading the note) Two Krabby Patties. P.S. You're an idiot, SpongeBob. Love, Squidward. Oh, I love you too, Squidward.

This episode premiered as part of SpongeBob Premiere Factor 5 (SPF 5) week.
