I want to know who green lighted this episode of Spongebob in the first place. In this episode, Spongebob gets a splinter in his thumb and tries everything to remove it. I have to point out that splinters are not like that at all. I know this is a cartoon and logic is usually thrown out, but Spongebob pulled it and it wouldn't come out at all. Splinters can be removed by pulling it, but for the sake of the plot, it keeps going. Squidward was an absolute jerk in this episode, all he constantly does is make fun of Spongebob and lies to him about what would happen if the splinter isn't pulled out. Then when Patrick came to "help" he just does a series of unfunny and very gross stuff to remove the splinter, so he's has no purpose. As the splinter stays in Spongebob, the thumb gets bigger. Thumbs don't do that when they have a splinter in them and it comes off as being really gross. Mr. Krabs eventually finds out and pulls the splinter out, and all of this green pus comes out and floods the restaurant. It's just very disgusting and guaranteed to make anyone sick. To end it all, Squidward injures himself when his shift ended 2 minutes ago. I normally have no problem with gross stuff on a show, but this episode went overboard with crude humor and the ending was just sickening. I have a pretty strong stomach, but stuff like this does NOT belong in Spongebob at all. Whoever the creator of this episode was I hope that person is fired or never allowed to create another episode again. These writers need to avoid coming up with junk like this and start being creative. Stay far away from this episodemoreless

What did I disliked in this episode? The writers' laziness.

The humor in here sucks most of the time, really stupid and annoying. Squidward is annoying in here. Why can't Spongebob just pull that splinter away? Mr.Krabs pulled that thing out like a pro. It's rather stupid, our thumbs don't swell like that when we get splinter on them (but they can swell, if they are very dirty and infected, pus will also come out but not as infected and hideous Spongebob as) plus, it's quite obvious. The reason they've done that because they can't think of anything next. However I laughed a little when Patrick started to put garbage on that sponge's thumb, but afterwards, it gets gross! And It made me laugh when Mr.Krabs pulled the splinter, a confetti came out. That made me laugh. But also, afterwards (I'm not joking) it gets gross again, pus flowed like a river inside the restaurant! OGH. Really gross and went too far on gross humor. It TRIES to be like Ren & Stimpy, but this is Spongebob Squarepants, not Ren & Stimpy!moreless

this is the worst episode of Spongebob imo. Spongebob gets a splinter and he just keeps trying to pull it out. It's not hard to pull a stupid splinter out! Squidward was a jerk in this episode and Patrick's "treatment" only made it worse, but what REALLY disturbed me was the green pus that came out, when Mr. Krabs pulled it out.

I got to admit, I kind of found it funny when after the splinter was pulled out by Mr. Krab, and a bunch of confetti came out. Other than that, this episode was horriblemoreless

Absolutely disgusting

Its episodes like these that make me question who approved of this. This episode made me vomit. It was absolutely disgusting. SpongeBob gets a splinter by doing something absolutely stupid to get his spatula from the ceiling. He gets a splinter and Squidward acts like a huge jerk and lies to SpongeBob about what Mr Krabs would do if he found out about the splinter. Then, Patrick does a series of gross and NOT FUNNY things to try to get the splinter out and it makes things even worse. Finally, Mr Krabs removes the splinter and Squidward hurts himself with a cash register just so he can get worker's compensation, but it turns out that his shift was over two minutes ago. Bottom line: everyone was stupid and the splinter itself was completely appaulling. Splinters are nothing like what they showed on this episode and it is one of the worst episodes of any show I have ever seen.moreless

Awful SpongeBob episode

This is my first negative review on a SpongeBob episode. I thought it was a not that good episode of SpongeBob. It was a bad start of the week of the premieres back in June 08. First, let me put the funny scenes in this episode. I thought the beginning was great especially when SpongeBob went on Squidward's head. However, after SpongeBob, things get worse. After Squidward found out about this, he threaten to tell Mr. Krabs and send him home. I thought Squidwsrd s big jerk in this episode. He hardly annoys me, but in this one, a lot. Also, Patrick's role was unneed, especially when he licked SpongeBob's feet. What was that about?? I know Patrick's dumb, but he was absolutely stupid in that scene. Overall, a terrible and unwatchable episode of SpongeBob. I only think the beginning is watchable before SpongeBob got that splinter. I think this got to be the worst episodes on the show ever (andso does season 6).1/10moreless
