  • Good episode

I have to say that a lot of the potential of this episode was wasted.

That isn't to say that it wasn't a good episode but of all the directions this episode took, I think it chose the safe route that was far too similar to most other episodes of the show.

The inclusion of Lucas's torturer (Dare i say creator?) was interesting but I kind of felt like there wasn't enough flashbacks for it to be truly utilised. Maybe if instead of talking about the camp they could have shown it and added to the relationship between the two... but alas, they didn't.

Other than that, this was a good episode of Spooks but a little bit too similar to other episodes.

The one reason I'm rating this higher than it probably deserves is because of the ending. It was quite interesting with the shots of... how to phrase this without ruining a twist... the shots of the "Incident" were really impressive and interesting. (If you don't know what I'm talking about, message me)

This certainly sets up future plots that I'm excited for!moreless
  • Superb episode!!!

Every Spooks episode is good, many are great, and a handful are truly superb. This is one of those. Lucas North's interrogator from Russian prison appears in the UK, with information on a terrorist attack. Lucas is forced to deal with the man who tortured him for years, and the memories he has repressed of that time are coming out and tearing at him. How does he keep focused on his mission, while dealing with the trauma of his past?

Complicating this is Lucas' relationship with Sarah, the CIA agent who may be involved with the mysterious Nightingale conspiracy. Can he trust her or not?moreless
