  • Stellar Episode

This episode was ace. The writing was great (and unpredictable) and the action for the most part was tense and awesome. But that's what we've come to expect from Spooks over these past few years. This episode had some very interesting aspects (Particularly the idea of the need for this huge sum of money and the problems they faced in obtaining it) but perhaps the most interesting was the confrontation between Sarah and Lucas at the end. At the start of the season I felt that her involvement in Lucas's storyline was completely unnecessary but now that their storyline is coming to a complete head, it just makes the final 2 episodes all the more interesting.

All in all, a great episode.moreless
  • Tense episode with Ros and Lucas both brilliant

The premise of the episode may have been hard to believe, but this was an exciting, action-filled episode. Not only was Britain on the verge of financial ruin, but the Home Secretary was under attack. The underlying crisis of season 8 - the mysterious Nightingale group's plan to change the world's political and financial system is still threatening.

I enjoyed this episode a lot and I particularly loved both Ros and Lucas. We saw them deal with intense pressure - pressure to get the job done and internal feelings tearing them apart. Ros was in her element - completely fearless and focused on doing what needed to be done. Lucas did the right thing, despite CIA agent Sarah's attempts to manipulate him. The last ten minutes was unbelievably tense and impossible to take your eyes off the screen. This was Spooks at its best.moreless
