I'm a sucker for idiot savants, kids from the wrong part of the track with a lot more to offer, etc., and this episode had that in the guise of JJ, a 4 year old with a photographic memory and no real life to speak of. It's not that the episode is perfect, but it had me emotionally involved, which is what most of the characters, including Tom, Danny and Zoe, have not managed to do at all. It was quite obvious where the whole thing was leading up to, with the older brother leaving him and JJ doing the "above and beyond" for MI5, with a promise of a better future, and it left me wondering (since I haven't watched the rest of the series at this point) if the JJ character would return to take his place with MI5.
All in all, the usual dose of spy stuff, adrenaline and danger with that added dose of a personal touch made this my season 2 favourite.moreless
