  • Spooks is one of my absolute favourite programs. Sadly this episode is appalling.

    2.3
Gollum is terrible in it, and the writers can't write decent songs to increase the realism.

This episode could herald a shark jumping moment the likes of which has been seen in "Ultimate Force" when the female trooper showed up.

It also looks a little bit like they have tried to fill in Zoe's position a little bit too quickly with what's-his-chops missus.

The Music venue scenes were relatively authentic though, but I simply couldn't get over seeing King Kong as a badly constructed chimera of Kurt Cobain and Mick Jagger.

After the previous techno-espionage episode with Ruth being in jeopardy and Danny being effected by Zoe having to leave and his previous introduction into the world of assassination, it seems that the setting up of a selection of quality stories has been sacrificed for a wishy-washy, unsentimental barrage of poor writing.moreless
  • Wonder what happens when you ask the plumber to fix the wiring?

    8.0
It starts with a simple kidnapping case and someone calls in the big guns. Thaat is only the start of a entrance into a world Mi-5 usually doesn't get involved in. When shadows are your friend, then the limelight is an umcomfortable place to be. That seems to be the story behind it, but there is more in play then the boffins of 5 realise. In the end they were the right people in the right place, only to learn that some things are even less then they seem andd the innocent get the invoice. All in all an excellent episode. Especially those playing the pop stars. We all have our crosses to bear and showe us how to bare them well, even the part we aren't supposed to see.moreless
