I think the best episode was "Napoleon's Battle Plan" from Season 1.  It brought all the major problems together at once.  (Dana/Gordon, Dana/Casey, Casey/Sally).  And of course it has Casey's best plan "I'm going to show up, and see what happens."

Which do you think is best?

I love Dear Louise, and the ending of "What kind of a day has it been".

"The Quality of Mercy at 29,000 feet" is what hooked me completely.  A touching well-thought out storyline, crisp writing and a beautiful message (despite the incredibly grotesque Disney product placement of Dana raving for a full minute about the broadway musical "The Lion King").

The final scene of Dan and the Homeless guy and "Look at what we can do!" is one of the finest endings I have ever seen.  I could not believe it when one of my all-time favorite songs, "The Weight," closed it out!

    Shoe Money Tonight
    Thespis
What Kind of Day Has it Been
    The Cut Man Cometh
The Quality of Mercy At 29K

The Cutman Cometh was the perfect blend of comedy, drama, absurdity and angst.

I still like the pilot as well, even if it did land in trite sitcom hell for a few minutes near the end.

My favorite is Episode 2, "The Apology" entirely because of Dan's speech at the end about his brother.

Dan's speech at the end was great. That's one of the things that I love about the show is how they are able to mix in moments like that.

Best episode? Well, that's completely subjective, depending on the criteria used to judge.

I will say my two favorites are "The Sword Of Orion" and "Eli's Coming". Found both of those really powerful.

    Oh, man - tough call!

My absolute favorites are "The Apology," "Eli's Coming," "Cliff Gardner," "The Giants Win the Pennant, the Giants Win the Pennant" and "Dana Get Your Gun."

But if you forced me to pick one, it would have to be "The Giants Win the Pennant." The scene between Dan and Isaac when Dan finally learns why Isaac won't go on camera is beautiful, and it's followed up by Dana's crushing revelation that the dating plan was a mistake.

So many great ones, but "Dear Louise" was definitely my favorite. I just laugh out loud no matter how many times I see it.

Special Powers is probably my favorite, because I'm a huge Dana/Casey fan. Ordinance Tactics and Mary Pat Shelby are high on my list, too. In general I like season 1 better than season 2, although I do like the season 2 eps with Sam in them a lot.

I love them all, and Eli's Coming is definitely high on my list.

But I have to pick Thespis. I just love that one a little more than the others.
