While watching Season 1, I've noticed that there seems to be a part
missing in episode 16 (How Are Things In Glocca Morra?) that shows up
in the "last time" part of episode 17 (The Sword Of Orion).

It is the part where Jeremy asks for time off. In episode 16 he's writing to Louise and telling her not to get upset about anything and in episode 17 he arrives back from going to his parents'. But I didn't ever see a part where he left or asked to leave or talked about leaving.

Did anyone else notice this? Am I simply wrong?

A lot of shows do this.  If there isn't enough time in an episode they just incorporate the scenes into the next episode.  Arrested Development was the most famous for doing this, but they actually did it at the end of their episodes to bridge the gap between them.

At most I'd say it was inconsistent, if that. We really didn't have to see those scenes to believe they happened.

"How are things in Glocca Mora" got seriously reconfigured when Robert Guillaume had his stroke, which probably accounts for why that scene is missing. In fact, you'll notice that the plot line that gave this episode it's title, about the words to the song 'how are things in glocca mora' isn't in this episode at all, but got moved to season two.

It happens. I remember an early-first-season ep of Lois and Clark that had a recap reference to events which apparently were in an entire *episode* that got scrapped for some reason.

P.S. I recommend to all and sundry, if you're sick of TV.com's six-month failure to address its massive "new" design problems in both form and function, try TVRage.com instead.
