Episode Summary

EDIT
Jeremy becomes nervous when he finds out Natalie is writing to his sister Louise. Casey gets very competitive about an Internet poll regarding who is cooler, Dan or Casey, so Casey convinces Jeremy to rig the computer to cheat, and stuff the ballot box for him. Sam demonstrates his ability to pay attention even when visibly doing something else. When Dana goes out with an old friend from high school, Casey is unsettled. Dana, in a spur of the moment whim, takes off her panties during the utterly boring meal and stuffs them into her purse , which Natalie, once informed, inadvertently blurts to Casey during a discussion. When he confronts Dana about it, she gets all defensive but once he realizes it wasn't a threat to him he relaxes. Dan, in the meantime, realizes something is up with regards to the poll when Casey has 3,000,000 votes to Dan's 230+moreless

    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    FILTER BY TYPE

    • TRIVIA (1)

      • Episode "Dear Louise" it is revealed that Dana went to all girls schools ... so how is it that a guy named Cab Calloway got into her spanish class?

    • QUOTES (2)

      • Casey : Sam everything's cool. I've got her panties right here in my side pocket.
        Sam : Ok. Hi Dana.
Dana : And as for you, you see you don't control my world. I happen to not be wearing any panties right now and if you had a thousand guesses you couldn't tell me where they were.
        Sam : Casey's side pocket.
        Dana : Damn it.

      • (After being confronted by Dana over his apparent lack of attention to the meeting going on)
Sam: (reels off details of what has been going on) ..and if Dan mentions the Internet poll one more time, I'm going to cram a motherboard *up* *his* *butt*... Did I catch the gist of the meeting?
        Dana: (stunned) ...Pretty much, yeah.
        Sam: Anything else?
        Dan: No.
        Casey: OoooKay.
        (leaves the conference room)
Dan: (quietly) Think I could take him?
        Casey: No.
        Dan: Really?
        Casey: Yeah!
Dan: I think I could take him.
        Casey: Ehhh, to lunch maybe...

    • NOTES (1)

    • ALLUSIONS (2)

      • When Jeremy reveals he was behind the internet polling fix, he states that he's "Settling all the family business." This is the line Michael Corleone says to Carlo Rizzi at the end of the Godfather when he reveals the heads of the other families have been assasinated.

      • The title is a clear reference to the first season episode "Dear Louise" (1x07), a M*A*S*H homage which introduced the characters for new viewers in the format of a voiceover of Jeremy relating recent events around the office to his sister as a letter he was writing to her. This episode really has nothing to do with that show excepting for the minor plot element of Natalie opening up a regular correspondence with Jeremy's sister.
