    SportsCenter has its best episodes at night. At 11 PM or early in the morning the next day, 1 or 2 AM. But the afternoons are usually the weak shows and it is not just because of the awful Chris McKendry more often than not anchoring the coverage, it is also because of the lack of readily available news. No news really breaks for them to cover. I think the last big story I first heard about on one of these afternoon broadcasts was when Manny Ramirez tested positive for steroids in early 2009.
