  • Notes

    • In the original pilot for Spyder Games, Chrystee Pharris was originally cast as Cherish Pardee, but MTV thought she was too old for the role. The part later went to Megalyn Echikunwoke.

    • Alternate Scenes: (cut from the final product)
      - more strip club action, and more scenes with Taylor and Sasha
      - the first scene was suppose to be Ivan and Julie making love on satin sheets, and this was the erotic dream that Julie awoke from in the first aired scene of this episode

    • The original premise of Spyder Web/Spyder Games was a family who owns a record company. But MTV didn't like it, so they came up with a more edger thing, a family who owns a video game empire.

    • Spyder Web was renamed to Spyder Games due to copyrights, and the fear of being sued. Christian McLaughlin's second choice was [Spyder] Tangled.

    • Original airdate for this was October 16, 2000. Then it was sometime in December 2000, then in January 2001, then in the Spring 2001, and June 4, 2001.

  • Allusions

    • Daphne (to Cherish, about missing the end of an episode of The Young and the Restless): What, you missed the end? That's always the best part.

The end of a soap opera episode usually has a cliffhanger, to get people to watch again the next day.

    • Daphne: It's like this one guy is pissing off everyone in town. He's worse than Victor Newman on Young & Restless.

Victor Newman (played by Eric Braeden) is the lead actor on CBS's daytime drama The Young and the Restless. He is rich and powerful and almost everyone in town hates him, much like Boris on this show.

    • Cherish: It's gonna be just like Rick and Amber's wedding on Bold & Beautiful.

The Bold and The Beautiful is a daytime soap opera, of which Rick and Amber once were the big couple, and had a huge fancy wedding.
