I was thinking of a combination of:

    1. Bajorian Assault Vessal

    2. Bajorian Solar Sail ship
In that, the hull should be the brassy gold color of the solar ship and the hull's skin should reflect the texture of the solar sails. That would just be for looks.

    3. Future starfleet ships:
We have seen future ships like the Aeon and Wells. They are more compact and no saucer sections. Also, the current Prometheus ship is more streamline.

This first Bajorian/Federation ship should reflect the transition from saucer section styled starfleet vessels to the more compact vessels of the future. Also it would go with the tradtion of compact vessels that the Bajorians are used to.

So...no saucer. It's would be too "traditional" starfleet.

Are the Bajorians related to the Bajorans?

Ooops, sorry. It is Bajoran...for some reason I get in the habit of adding "i" to the spelling.

Wonder what the interior of one of them would look like, color scheme, drapes? Beads hanging on doors, very 2370's you think?

Don't know about the drapes, but considering that the Bajorans have expierence mostly with Cardassian and Defiant Class ships, I would think the interior might reflect those influences. I would wager on a color scheme that goes with the latter DS9 uniform design; grey and probally bronze colors.

Bajoran ships are most often just subwarp junk, it'd ruin any Fed ship to be combined with that low technology.

How would you fix up a Bajoran ship then?

Well, I don't think that Starfleet should mix Bajorian Tech with theirs. That would be a terrible move. But a Bajoran Federation starship could take on Bajoran traits of designs like; color, shape, layout..etc.

Just to recap my ideas for the first Bajorian Federation starship:

    1. Color: outer hull (reddish bronze) inside (bronze and grey)
    2. Shape: inbetween NG star trek ship designs and 29th century starfleet ship designs; more streamline, defiant class style bridge
    3. Tech: advanced ablative armor and new torpedoes brought from Voyager, first stable slipstream drive (limited use)

Thats just some of my ideas, but again...I agree about not bringing in Bajoran tech. Maybe incorporate some of the Resistence and Maquis style use of codes and such.

But would the Federation really trust an all-Bajoran ship having this kind of technology? I could see it if they had a presence stationed on there, as the Bajorans had with them on DS9.

Well, I was meaning a joint Bajorian/Federation ship. Just like most personelle onboard a Federation ship are humans. I figured that 50% of this ship could be Bajoran while the other 50% could be humans and other member races.

Just because Bajor got stomped by Cardassia for 50+ years and thrown back in tech, doesn't mean they aren't able to understand it. Their culture was in space flight a long time before the Federation.

I could see a joint Bajoran-Cadassian crew in addition to the Federation personnel, with Cardassia making more overtures to lasting peace with Bajor after the Dominion War. Just a thought.

That could be an idea. Though I don't see alot of Cardassians being assigned. Maybe one or two that have expierence with the Gamma Quadrant since that is where I imagine this ship exploring. Hmmm, maybe Garak could find an Obsidian Order surviror that could be in the crew.

Always loved the idea of this thread. Too bad it never developed in the trek universe.
