  • A worthy, exciting ending.

A lot of the more sophisticated political stories are buried here for a fast-paced, action-packed episode - but that's OK.

The story with Dax and Kira is lighter; despite a great action sequence, the chemistry between the characters (which had not been explored much through this point) is played for some great laughs.

Back on the space station, things are a little more tense (though Chief O'Brien's love for combat rations generates plenty of amusement). The audience is kept as much in the dark as the invaders, making the final twist in the plot a surprise.

The 2nd season would be relatively patchy relative to its successors, but episodes like this make it worthwhile.
