This episode starts off like many others with Enterprise orbiting around a new world. And like most other instances, there are new diseases that inflict one or more of the crew who are forced to stay in decontamination. When a Tellarite bounty hunter named Skalaar tricks Captain Archer into meeting him to plan shore leave on the planet he takes him hostage, disables Enterprise, and takes off.
T'Pol and Dr. Phlox have become infected with a microbe from marsupials on the planet's surface and it quickly escalates into a fight for T'Pol's life as she enters the Ponn Farr. Meanwhile Captain Archer finds out he's being taken back to Chronos for escaping Rura Penthe. After a run-in with another bounty hunter, Skalaar gets stiffed on the reward. Knowing how treacherous the Klingons are, Skalaar gave Archer the means to escape from the Klingon ship.
Enterprise swoops in, disables the Klingon ship, picks up Archers escape pods (though I thought Klingons didn't believe in them) and makes off with a hearty farewell from Skalaar.
Not a great episode, but a fun one! No doubt, Earth, Vulcan, and all of humanity are now blood enemies of the Empire as of this one. But that's what makes it so interesting. I gave this a 9.0
