    "faith of the heart"

i think there's an original by rod stewart. your best bet is to google it, search for it on limewire, or wait till monday and closely watch the opening credits because i've seen it there before.

    Hello.

The song is called "Where my heart will take me"

    You can listen it here:

BTW... i loved this song until S3... then it got stupidly mixed up. But still good song...

Yeah, I loved it until they put a stupid beat in it at the start of Season 3. Then it sounded even further from normal Trek openings. It sounded so much better before.

I actually preferred it after they remixed it. It was too slow sounding before and sounded like it should have been the theme song for Touched by an Angel! At least it had a little pulse to it after the remix.

Honestly, I always wished that they had used the song "Wherever You Will Go" by The Calling. That song was used in the earlier promotional ads for Enterprise and I thought it sort of sounded appropriate for the show.

I've only seen four episodes of Enterprise (the last four episodes of season 3), the show appears to be interesting but I hate the theme song, sounds nothing like Star Trek.

The song was originally by Diane Warren, but the version used in the show is a cover by Russell Watson.

By the way, I really like it.

Wow so many positives. Usually I hear how much everyone hates the opening song. Probably because it was the first to be sung rather than dramatic orchestrals. It was meant to give a sense of wonder to the upcoming adventures. I always liked it even after it's S3 remix.

The version played in the credits was performed by Russell Watson. I loved the opening credits, and I thought it suited the show.

I always hated the song, and thought it was worse off after the remix.
In Season 3 they should have scraped it all together and came up with a true Trek soundtrack to restore the show. They should have also brought Coto on a year earlier and then perhaps the show would never have been canceled and we'd be currently enjoying the beginnings of the Romulan-Earth Wars, rather than having to read about them.

i hate the song. always have. this show should have had a spoken intro followed by the end theme song. no rod stewart remake.

At first, I hated the song... I thought it would have been better to have an instrumental w/ rock tones (to fit the atmosphere of the show) or the music from the closing credits... but then it grew on me... I liked it... then Season 3 happened and i hated it SO MUCH.... I wish they would have used the intro music for Mirror episodes for season 3 on... it conveyed the darker turn the show would have taken...

i like the meaning behind the song. it felt more real, you know, all the sacrafies people have made and all the hard work that it has took for us to be in space, its now starting to be possible to getting closer to human space flight to other planets. thats what the show was about.

The Opening song is one of the worst things a bout the series. It would have been much more Trek-like if they would have went with something else, like the theme song from Generations. I don't know what possessed Paramount to go with a rock ballad.

maybe the producers are trying to convey the message that enterprise is a contemporary trek show. i didn't like the song the first time i heard it, after i heard a few times, i thought it was ok.

I like the song too, but didnt think it was suitable for a Star Trek show at all. The reason they chose it was to appeal to a new demographic audience, which also explains why the tag line of "Star Trek" was left out of the title at first.

    eh...

The song was ok, but it fit the Trek universe like a flip-flop on an elbow... sure it might be stylish, but does it really belong there?
