archer was still healing from his metamorphosis in the previous episode. but the beginning is otherwise formulaic in a sense archer is on his quest to stop the xindi and gets into a situation where he frees a slave girl. upon freeing her she "seduces" all manner of the crew be them man or woman. almost soft core pornish (but of course sexuality is only alluded to). it was reminiscent of the old star trek episodes with kirk to a degree with implied sexual undertones. the "slave girl" turned out to be a xindi "spy" sent to compile data she steals from the minds of the ENTERPRISE crew. once she reports to the xindi council she expresses rather cryptically the implied goodness in the ENTERPRISE by exclaiming "there is more turn to learn from these humans. their differences are only skin deep" hence....trivial. nothing comes of it thus far however and only alludes to further XINDI-centric episodes b/c they need to learn more about the enterprise almost as badly as the enterprise wants to learn about them, theyre an obvious threat to one another. the xindi employing "psychological warfare tactics". but its essentially forgettable and can be easily omitted by a casual fan.moreless
