The episode is conflicted
the augments kill each other
there creator turns on them
the klingons turn on every one
and archer ,as always, has one hell
of a fight on his hands.
soong finally realises the error of his ways
the augments are finally destroyed and peace is restored
the action is good as is the plot
the only objection is the moral stance througth out the trilogy
there seems to be a predjudical theme througth out the eps
and other trek series
that simply improving humans will doom them to
a life of megalomania and genocide.
this is never discussed in a balanced manner
the augments are esentailly human
some humans are good ,some bad ,some indifferent
to portray them all in an unflatering light is
my diffinition of racism
maybe if earth wasnt so reactionary
or scared they would have surrendered
if the augments had seen the light before they were all
neatly wiped out what would earth have done with them?
locked them up as they still do in ds9 200 years later.
(maybe not smike but then he didnt have super powers)
I sided with the augments from the get go
and the cod moralising of this hypocritical human society
only reinforced this
