  • An old trek staple "not all aliens are bad" for such an overdone concept the episode is suprisingly good

    7.4
Archer proceeds to a xindi colony

were a weapon conponent is being constructed.

He takes the leader of the refinery hostage in his home

    and begins to interogate him.

Archer is suprised to learn he,Gralik, has never heard of humans or the attack on earth.

As we discover he is merely a business man who sold kemocite to degra and his allies.

Eventually archer begins to trust gralik enough to

release him and gives the shipment to the recently arrived council members. After he sabotages it with an unnessecary test.A canister is also modified to make its detection very easy until the council members ship disappears into a subspace anomoly .

Gralik encourages archer to keep looking as the range of the vortex is only 6 light years.Archer makes a friend among the xindi.

A good episode and it forshadows the upcoming xindi alliance between archer and some of the xindi sub species.

The actor plays gralik as a grumpy old bugger but he is also a very moral person he seems offend by the idea of all those deaths and takes his share of the blame

for his no questions asked policy.

There not alot of action for an enterprise episode but

there alot of moral questions and soul searching by both archer and gralik.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (5)

    • Trivia: It has been three months since Enterprise entered The Expanse.

    • Trivia: Kemocite is previously mentioned in the Deep Space 9 episode, "Little Green Men". In that episode, although Quark is originally attempting to smuggle it, it ends up sending him, Rom, Nog, and Odo back in time.

    • Nitpick: Trip asks Archer for permission to take apart the Xindi-Reptillian weapon to study it. However, in "Rajin", Archer already said specifically that he wanted it taken apart to be studied.

    • Trivia: Gralik mentioned that there was a sixth Xindi species, the Avians, that had become extinct.

    • Goof: Inside the Xindi lab Reed pulls the fourth Kemocite canister from the crate and scans it. However, in the next shot as the Xindi are returning, the third canister is missing rather than the fourth.

  • QUOTES (2)

    • Gralik: If everything you've told me is true about the attack on your world, I hope you remember that all Xindi are not your enemy.

    • Gralik: You burst into my home, show me some twisted piece of metal, and tell me it proves I'm a mass murderer? I've never seen your species before, I've never heard of a planet called Earth, and whether you believe me or not, I had nothing to do with killing millions of its inhabitants.
